  1. I usually play anywhere from 95-100% on the button.
  2. Yes, it is solvable. No, I don't have the solution, and I don't know someone that has it right now.
  3. With position, you can generally gain more information about your opponent's hand, allowing you to build the pot as your equity increases with each street. When out of position, you don't have this same informational advantage, so you don't mind building the pot when you have the edge, even though it may not be as large as it would be on later streets. For instance, if a loose and aggressive player raises his button, it wouldn't be a bad play to repop him with something like AQ from the big blind. If you flop top pair, you won't have as much money left behind to make getting it all-in a mistak
  4. I'm pretty sure most of the money was lost from excessive spending. Also, I think he played online mostly. The article explained how making trips to the casino weren't very cost effective for Cero.
  5. Given the fact that our hero was out of position and he had a good read on everyone but the raiser(as the above posters mentioned), he decided on a call. His friend calls behind. Pot = $40.FLOP: T T 7 SB sighs and checks. His friend glances at the TV and makes a comment about the NBA finals. The button is sitting quietly, giving away nothing. What should the our hero do now, and why?<A> Check.<B> Bet $20.<C> Bet $40.
  6. New 10-handed table at a B&M cardroom, $1/$2 NLHE. You take seat 3 and each player buys in for the $200 max.You only recognize two players. One is a friend of yours, who plays what you would call a weak-tight nut-peddling style. The other is a local who frequents the card room. He is somewhat of a calling station, going to the felt with top pair no kicker on several occasions that you can remember. He even goes to the felt with top pair against your nut-peddling friend. He is on your immediate right. You don't recognize the other seven players.HAND #1: You start off in the BB. Two folds, yo
  7. I own the software, and it has some uses I guess. The feature I liked most about it was playing with everyone's cards face-up... you'd be surprised how often people have nothing at all. I mean really... nothing. The odds calculators are useful if you don't have any yet. The AI bots are tough, willing to put you to the test if necessary, but I find I get bored playing with fake money against fake opponents. That's all I can think of right now, since I haven't used the software in about 2 months. Would I recommend it? I guess it depends...
  8. See that you're both in the money... gl... get aggressive!
  9. Just busted out. UTG with kings, raise to 3xBB, fish in CO calls. Flop J99. Check, CO bets 200, call. Turn 9. Check, fish bets 800, call. River 8. Check, fish pushes, I call. Fish shows AA. Earlier bluffs by this fish led to the check-call method. He wouldn't have bet that 9 on the flop, but I guess he would bet a jack... or AA. 410 remaining.Next hand, in the BB with TT. Two limpers, SB doubles the blind. I push, one fold, one call, SB pushes, caller folds. SB shows AA. No help, I'm outta there.Aces popped up three times in the row, stacking another guy with QQ before my back-to-back defeats.
  10. 3230 at the break. Pretty much card dead over here except for early on where I picked up AQo three hands in a row... picked up the blinds, folded to an EP raise, picked up the blinds. Pulled off two bluffs that I was semi-proud of.
  11. I'm in... TheKingOfAces. gl to everyone as well.
  12. Damn, queen high?STRATEGY SHIFT: Increase value bets, decrease bluffs/semibluffs...You can still enter alot of pots, but you definitely don't want to be splashing around with trash. Make sure your hands have enough value to make it worth playing against such idiocy.
  13. RESULTS: I show [J :icon_suit_club: , J :icon_suit_diamond: ] for Two Pair, Jacks and FoursVillain shows [6 :icon_suit_club: , 7 :icon_suit_club: ] for Two Pair, Sixes and FoursDespite being right when the results were on the table, I still question my call. Thanks for the input.
  14. I could swear that KGB says "so you're setting the apple", meaning that Matt Damon is taking a shot at the bigger game. I thought it was based on the old "shoot an apple thats sitting on someones head with an arrow" type scenario.
