Playing a small $$ re-buy tourney on Stars. First place money was roughly 6K. Tourney payed about 500 players, at this point I think there were approx. 600 left We had been playing approx. 2 hours 45 minutes. Average chips were around 17-18K, I had approx. 25K. I understand the action, and like I said, I wasn't aware of other circumstances (i.e. you playing tight and RDW playing maniac). At a different time, under different circumstances, yeah, sure he's got to go broke w/ this hand, but not on day 2 of the 2nd biggest tournament of the year w/ a top-10 chip stack, playing against a top player who has you covered. Much like you can't win one of these on the first day, you can't win it on the second either.Obv. From what I gather he's pretty tight, but does the whole act thing to foster an image that couldn't be farther from the truth. Also he seems to be an angle-shooter which really bothers me. I've heard more than a couple stories of him stretching the rules as far as they go. In summary, seems like a douchebag to me. Antonio, on the other hand, has really impressed me w/ his play on shows like HSP. I used to think he was a ****** too, but the more I've watched from him, the more gifted I think he is.

I think you hit the nail on the head. The way I see it, people are going to draw whether you give them the price or not, so you may as well not. If I have top 2 on that board I'm not looking to play a big, multi-way pot. I'm looking to take it down right there, or give someone a terrible price to call w/ the draw. I'm willing to risk more pre-flop, but I just don't see the reward of playing risky after the flop. And trust me, I expose myself to plenty of beats, 'cause as I said, they're gonna draw on you anyway...

You're giving 3 active players 5:1 on a draw-heavy board. I just can't possibly see the upside to this.

You should have NOT bet on the flop with absolutely NO HAND. You've got a couple of overcards. Who knows if they are even live? Clear fold.

If you DO NOT want to give players the pot-odds to draw on you, why are you giving them 5:1 on a coordinated board? Seems like a play w/ undue risk, and poor reward.
