  1. It's full, if anybody here signed up you're either quiet or not at my table. Thanks for putting up with my impatience.
  2. It takes forever for these things to fill at this time regularly, so I'm trying the recruiting route in hopes of speeding the process. Just a 10+1, nothing too crazy. I'm waiting (Breakdown777).
  3. Lot's of great stuff here, figured I'd add something. It's very old, but if you haven't seen it yet, you should remedy that.Tokyo Breakfast
  4. It seems like I'm in the minority, but I agree with the OP completely. Poker's been in the mainstream plenty long enough that it really shouldn't be necessary at this point. And they don't have a special rules segment for any other televised sport. Hell, I watched a lot of curling during the olympics and had to figure it out as the match went along. I don't see why poker should be different. At this point, enough people should know the basics, and those that don't shouldn't have that hard a time figuring it out. Granted, it'd boil down to maybe one more hand shown or some little vignette
  5. Thanks for the replys. At the time I was thinking I definitely had the best hand after the flop and was trying to milk a little more out of it. Villian had AQo and made me mutter some obscenities at my computer screen.Ah well, live and learn, thanks guys.
  6. I've been lurking this board for a long time, first actual post here.Didn't save the HH, so the details might be a little off.Party 10+1 MTT, blind level 4 (100, 200). Third hand at this table, no reads on those involved. I'm UTG with TT and about 4800 in chips. I raise to 600. Folds to late MP who calls with ~4500, CO calls with ~8500, the rest fold. Pot is 2100.Flop is 8 8 4 rainbow.I bet 1400, LMP folds, CO thinks for a while and calls.Turn is Qh.Bad card, an over and it sets up a flush draw. I push with my last 2800.Won't post the result, but I think it's kinda obvious roughly what ha
  7. Yeah, go for the gold. It's been my expereience that trying to hang on for second results in getting third way too often. The difference between 3rd and 2nd money isn't all the big anyways, and even if you do end up waiting out the other guy, your odds of winning are really small. Play to win.
  8. I agree with the other two. You have enough chips where you're not an automatic call, and stealing what's in the pot will help you out a lot. Even if you get called there aren't that many hands you're in terrible shape against. Take a stand here.
  9. In live play, $360 at a touneny at the Taj in ACOnline, $820, MTT on Party
  10. I'm for the later personally, but there are few feelings like knowing you just stole a huge pot wit rags. What do you guys think?
  11. I'm out already too. AJ clubs, raise it, 2 callers. Flop come AJ3, one heart. Bet half the pot, one caller, turs a heart, I bet, guy pushes on me and i call. Dude turns over 8 4 of hearts, and of course gets another on the river.Fun times.
  12. I'll be playing, just wondering how many other forum junikies will be in the fray. 2370 entrants and counting...
  13. I'm not too savvy when it comes to limit touneys, and I was wondering if it's generally a better idea to play looser or tighter than in NL tourneys. Now I know it depends on the players at your table, stack sizes, current limit and whatnot, but I'm just asking the "in general" question.I kinda doubt there's a clean cut answer, but I'd like to hear some opinions on the matter. If it helps, in NL MTTs I tend to play TAG, though I'm not above mixing it up from time to time.
  14. Yeah, 311 had the contest running during one of their tours, $311 to anyone who could do it. I think they had to pay 2 people and the roadees had to clean up the vomit of countless others.
