  1. Slowrollers always defend fellow slowrollers. (j/k) <3
  2. Award the side pot to player B and award the main pot to both players A and B in terms of their equity at that moment (an estimate is sufficient -- Player A had 4 outs, so that is a little shy of 10% equity. )EDIT: I just read the other replies and am glad to see Sandwedge came to the same conclusion. In my opinion, this is the best option BY FAR. The hand ended on the turn and was unrecoverable -- the only option is to "cash in " the players' equity at that moment that the hand ended. Sadly Alan, I feel that your decision here was one of the worst options (especially in a bar league) as pl
  3. You're treading on thin ice by being too helpful over there right now...
  4. Quoted for posterity.EDIT: and for possible inclusion in the blender thread later...?

  7. http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/poker-blog/20...ard-lederer.phpFrom the article:"...In Phil Ivey’s case, there is a particular reason why he may not have been chosen in 2010. Chip Reese was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 1991, at the age of 40. He was the youngest inductee, by a large margin. He was considered by his peers to be the greatest cash-game player of all time, and the honor reflected a feeling that, even among great players, Chip was the best. It was an honor he cherished and anyone who knew and competed against him wouldn’t want to take that away.I had the opportunity to spea
  8. Bolded text changes everything. With that extra piece of info, I would of folded PF and waited for a better spot.
  9. From the article:...In the mid-1980’s, Harrington made the switch to poker and began playing in the Mayfair Club, an underground card club in New York, where Howard Lederer, Steve Zolotow and Erik Seidel played....
  10. Now the tragedy that is my losing to Luke can be avenged.
  11. The key thing here was that the casino felt that nothing was wrong with the way the dealer hand shuffled it (that was how they train their dealers to hand shuffle) so the casino was in the process of paying out the players when the provincial gaming commission raised the issue (I don't know, I guess there was a rep onsite). In the end, the casino went ahead with paying the players and have changed the hand shuffle rules to avoid the error in the future.
  12. King better do his homework first...
  13. Wow... that is a legitimate bad beat. And, unfortunately not a legitimate bad beat at the same time [ ] Bad beat hand[x] BAD BEAT:(At my local casino, a hand shuffle resulted in a bad beat jackpot being awarded. The casino nearly didn't pay it out because the dealer shuffled as he was taught: (wash, riffle, strip, riffle, riffle). The provincial gaming commission wanted the dealer to riffle 3 to 5 times after the strip instead of the 2 that he was taught.Thankfully, in this case the casino did end up awarding the BBJ. Sadly, I am only telling this story second-hand -- I was not one of the
  14. Yeah, I know that: I as just trying to make a Fight Club joke at the same time. I still think it would have been funny if Bob put that rule down as #1 and not #2.
  15. Shit sorry, I broke the first rule of charter membership.

  17. Dwyte Pilgrim seems to be another up and comer... It's just a matter of him not being promoted right.
  18. What's the point of posting in a strat forum if your mind is firmly made up about how to play it and you're not going to listen to any advice given?
  19. As for my real answer, I think Harrington and Seidel are good choices.Ivey is 100% going to become HOF, but it's still too early. Methinks he is still raking in the poker accolades and accomplishments. The poker HOF should be treated as the Academy awards lifetime achievement awards or the baseball hall of fame. People get inducted while they are on the way out, so to speak.
  20. Let me sit still and think about it for five minutes.
