I love the world cup. The timing of the games is going to make it really difficult to watch much this year though.

Still thinking and smiling about being at game 5. I was really conflicted if it was worth all that money, but some good friends convinced me to do it, and frankly I had won the money in a hockey pool, so it was easier to justify.

Hours after this game, we all heard the news about Bourdain, and his books in many ways changed my life+my desires to reach for experiences in life.
As a good friend said to me last night, life is pretty much fcked 8 ways until Sunday. Find any happiness you can.

Life is way too short guys, the next time you have a decision like I had, just go for it. Enjoy it while you can!

So true. Life is about experiences and memories. Money means nothing at the end of the day. My dad lived his life that way. Some people would talk and say why do you have to travel to overseas 2-3 times a year? Well he enjoyed his life and ended up dying relatively young and Iím glad he experienced all the places and memories he had. Time is something we donít have a lot of. We need to enjoy every minute. Iím glad you experienced that.

It just hit me, and had to re-read your first post....it took a month to confirm it was benign.
Holy crap, congrats on not completely losing it! well done, thats a deserving fathers day you got coming up.
Yes, we found out this morning when we met with a specialist from CHEO. Longest month ever!!! I can't stop thinking of everyone else who has gone through or going through the same thing.

If I see one more person refer to suicide as a selfish act I may go on a spree.

Very happy for Joe Bowen. He is the "salt of the earth" as I like to call him. He has been a great broadcaster, I have many memories of him growing up and listening and watching games.

From "down goes Brown" to all the "Holy Mackinaws". Some of you guys dont like him, because he is a homer..But I love him for what he has done for me and Leafs nation. I have had the pleasure to meet him on several occasions and he has been approachable and just loves talking Leafs and hockey in general. Congrats Joe..Well deserved buddy..

I dont think Lou+Hunter leaving is good for the Leafs, but Mirtle is reporting that if they do, they may/will hire Ron Francis as a senior consultant.
Move over, I'm coming on board

He may have played a few games with Hartford. Pittsburgh and Carolina but those last 12 games as a Leaf is what matters most. Letís get him on board.

While Iím not a huge NBA fan by far, that was really a fun game. The atmosphere is pretty crazy. It started pretty scary for the home team down 17. But they took control in the second half.

One thing I donít remember from when I use to go to games before in Toronto. Timeouts are long. 3:30 minutes is forever. I thought it used to be 20 second and 60 second time-outs before? Bob?

this article got me even more fired up for Dubas than I already was: https://theathletic....le-dubas-story/ (Athletic paywall)

I have never in my life been more confident in the current management team of one of my favourite teams.
