Thank you.

I'm in nearly the exact same position as you in the FCHL... a couple players left and SJ goalies against Jeff Carter, up by 2.

I don't follow the fchl thread so I don't know who you are playing, but good luck, I hope you hold on.

Worst smack talk ever.

I learned my humility from the guy who didn't want a thread about his team, and preferred to be humble+low key, and yet still win.

I've reconsidered. We should work on a strictly hardware count.
So, I have 4 championships in like, 6 years? Man, thats Big M like! lol

I was hoping Bartman would come in for the save.

Some info (especially for Arp) on Dmytro Timashov...

If pensionplanpupptes.com is where you are getting your prospect info from, Im beginning to understand why you drafted 2 Leafs and thought they were steals. :)

Congrats my friend. Very deserving champion, you built a powerhouse....again!

Jay is the cream of the crop in the FCHL, while some of us are still trying to regain past glory, he has already lapped us twice.

A round of congratulations are due to the first 3-time champ in FCHL history.

The Newmarket Hurricanes put a forceful end to the Crop Duster's cinderella run, winning the FCHL title 4-1. The Hurricanes also defeated the powerhouses Toronto Rockets and the Ales on the way to the championship.

As always these predictions are not meant to insult or offend anyone. They are for entertainment purposes only.

Eddie Shack Conference

#1 vs #2

Steelheads (56-25-1) +/- 167 vs
Puck Warfare (43-37-2) +/- 178

Jeff Petry (MTL) gone for season
Lars Eller (MTL) day to day
Jannik Hansen (VAN) day to day

Puck Warfare-
Jack Johnson (CLB) 2 weeks
David Desharnais (MTL) mid-march
Jordie Benn (DAL) day to day
Evgeni Malkin(PITT) gone for AHL season

For the first time in 4 years, the Eddie Shack conference final will not feature defending AHL champions Canadian Gothic. #1 seeded Steelheads averaged an impressive 4.25 score to defeat Cheap Thieves in a close 6 game series . The Thieves were very unfortunate to face Steelheads in round 2, as the Thieves would of won the other series against 5 of the remaining finalists. The Steelheads continued with franchise first's as this first playoff series win has them in the dance for Conference champs. Puck Warfare meanwhile got by the injury-riddled Mustangs. The fans were denied what would of been an epic series as the depleted Mustangs had a tough time mustering any offence against Puck Warfare.
With Rick Nash back and healthy, it looks like Puck Warfare will be only team dealing with injuries, as Malkin is gone for the entire season. Goal-tending will favour Puck Warfare. Not only does he avoid empty nights (Steelheads has empty game 5), but has 3 teams are all in top 10 in NHL GAA. Even with Malkin gone, forward edge goes to Warfare, but defense edge goes to Steelheads. Farms will help both teams equally. On paper this looks to be a very close match-up and I think will come down to which team owner, Jay or Chris, is able to better select starting line-up and avoid benched points. After going back and forth on many factors, this was basically a coin-flip. tails. Prediction Puck Warfare in 7.

Tiger Williams Conference

#1 vs #3

Big M (52-25-5) +/- 263 vs
Scarborough Shooters (45-33-4) +/- 137.5

Big M-
Bryan Little (WIN) out for season
John Klingberg (DAL) day to day
Sami Vatanen (ANA) day to day
Brandon Davidson (EDM) long term
Niklas Kronwall (DET) 1-3 weeks

Scarbourgh Shooters-
Michael Del Zotto (PHIL) gone for season
Oscar Klefbom (EDM) week to week
Patrick Sharp (DAL) day to day
Marcus Kruger (CHIC) late march

No slumps by the Big M's players coupled with no huge nights by Shortstacker players, and as expected the Big M's won in a 5 game series. As for the Scarborough Shooters, they proved that empty goalies mean nothing as they have now gone 4-0 with empty goalies for the playoffs. The Tiger Williams finals will feature the perennial giant Big M vs the supposed over achieving Shooters. On paper the end end result looks obvious, forward edge goes to Big M, defense edge goes to Big M, goalies edge goes to Big M, depth edge goes to Big M's, kinda sounds like a broken record that keeps skipping. Shooters did finish 3rd in conference without the help of MacDavid, who will get to play in 6 of 7 games this series, and will field decent lineups throughout that can win on any given night. As much as everyone might be cheering for the Cinderella story, I believe midnight will strike this round. Prediction Big M's in 5

Reject Cup Final

Underdogs (25-55-2) +/- 37
Screaming Eagles (40-37-5) +/- 117.0 vs

Eric Gryba (EDM) indefintely
Mark Stuart (WPJ) late march
Stephane Robidas (TOR) gone for season
Chris Kelly (BOS) gone for season
Chris Stewart (ANA) late march

Screaming Eagles-
Daniel Carr (MON) late April

The highest ranked non-playoff team vs the lowest team in the league. hardly a match-up that inspires a close nail-bitter. Even with the return of Nugent Hopkins, the Eagles should have no problem winning this series and hoisting the reject cup. Prediction Eagles in 5

haha.. I would say: very unlikely.

After 5 days in Nashville, 3 days coming up in Banff in April for an annual poker trip, and 10 days upcoming in Vegas in July, I think I've expended all of my "solo trip without the wife and kids" capital for the next year at least.

Why don't you guys go ahead without me. My team is honestly abysmal anyway, so I would have pretty much zero chance of winning.
Toronto is a lovely place for a family visit :)
