Maybe I'm already in baseball mode but doesn't it make sense with the current schedule to have an east/west MVP and so on.. ala NL-AL?

it's worked for 83 years. I say don't change it. current schedule will be changed in a couple years most likely anyway.

A better argument could be made for switching baseball to a single MVP system, with interleague play allowing AL and NL teams to meet in the regular season. The reason they've always had two MVP's is due to the fact that AL teams never played NL teams until the World Series and vice versa. That switch won't be happening either though. Like the man said, it's worked for so long, so why fix it?

this isn't for the hockey forum but I agree with you. DHs take away from the strategics involved in the game.
