leer 3
Is this a good tactic? Or will it not work in LHE? Here is how i play it Preflop middle position i get Ks 7s. Its called to me. I raise. Floop come 3d 7c 7h Its checked to me. I bet out. 4 people call me. Turn comes 6h Everyone checks to me. I check. The button checks. River comes and is 10s everyone checks to me. I check, the button bets out. 2 people call, and 1 folds. I raise. Everyone calls.. I win the pot. I use this tactic. And many times if i miss the flop and someone bets the turn, ill usually fold. Meaning i rais pre flop, then bet out on the flop, the turn i check, someone bets. I fold. Or is there a better way of doing this?
FCP Bob 1,312
Or is there a better way of doing this? Yes, there is a better way to do it. Bet your hand and don't try and be tricky and fancy at Limit Holdem Giving a free card on the turn with a very drawy board like that against multiple opponents is just a really bad play. opie 0
LHE is about finding small edges and profiting from them. Raising K7s from MP is not a hand where you are ahead of lot. In MP, that's a fold. In LP, if enough people limp in, then it is OK to limp in. The flop is a fantastic flop for you. Now your goal is to shovel as much money into the pot as possible. Letting the turn check around is a disaster. You also check the river, which could have been easily checked behind you and you collect a tiny pot in a hand where you should be collecting a nice big one. Bet the flop, bet the turn, bet the river. That will make you a larger profit on the long run. If you are going to be as loose as playing K7s (which I don't recommend), then you are probably bluffing at hands you miss, so you need to play fast on great flops since no one will believe you and call you down. mtdesmoines 3
Trying to cram "small ball" into LHE is not understanding the "limit" part of LHE.
leer 3
I was just thinking about it... Tried it a few times. It worked out for me 2 out of 3 time, but is not my normal type of play. I usually play tight agressive. But i do change up one and a while. Since it worked the 2 of 3 times, i figured i would ask around ... Got an answer,
gadjet 11
Is there a better way of doing this? To be honest there isn't a worse way. Well I suppose open folding the river would put a cherry on top...
