  1. I'm liking a shove. You're on what we call the monster, 13 outs at the flop... though you do only have 9 high, his hand stinks of an overbet with something like an Ace high to try and buy the pot. If he's got nothing but a high card, then you have even more outs because you could also pair.
  2. I'm liking the check. You've filled up, so once he does hit his flush(Which is what I'd put him on) then he should pay off nicely. If not take a large stab at the river and see if he'll call, if not then at least he won't see your cards.
  3. Shove. You don't want someone with a weak ace to get in and you don't want to see an ace or draw on the flop.
  4. This sounds like typical Pokerstars... Set V Set V high pocket pair. It's tough, reading sets, especially when on a low board sucks, it's how daniel busted in the WSOP Main event 2008
  5. He may have had 10 9... the problem is the limp PF. this give us no info, so he may have A 10, or he may have J 7, or 76, or even JX and be on the draw, or two club rags.
  6. Cooler means a cold deck. That means that you had something great, but the deck just slaps you in the face by giving your opponent something better that's crazy. My example is this:I get dealt Pocket 10's, raise to 3x the BB, get two callers.Flop shows 10 9 Q. I put in a bet of 5x BB, get two callers.Turn shows 9, making 10 9 9 Q. I put in 2/3 pot, and get one caller.River comes Ace, I push, she calls and rolls over pocket A's. It was a 20:1 shot, but she hit it. That's cold.
  7. Will do, thanks very much.
  8. What are the names of the two books?
  9. You can't just call here... you're either pushing or folding... that being said, you have the 13+ outs, forgetting pot odds, I think you should push. The raise pre-flop was pretty standard IMO, solid vilian may have the K of hearts and and wanted to see the turn for cheap.
  10. Okay, so I'm a decent player who has a good grasp on the math of the game, my problem is that I can't really read players that well and I'm wondering if anyone can offer some tips, maybe walk me through what they go through when they put people on a hand? Not talking about internet play BTW, would like live play.
  11. Be Ready to lose. I used to be like you, a passive player, but I've gotten a lot more aggressive. What you learn to do is play the board more then your hand. If you have A J and the board is all low cards, put in a pot sized bet, because while you missed the board, most likely everyone else did too and will fold to you. The thing you have to be ready for is if someone reraises that you have to learn to be okay with losing that bet you put in there. One Side Note:It's all about the stakes. While .01/.02 is fun,it's not much money and so people really aren't afraid to call most amounts. People ar
  12. I didn't reload because I'm a poor college student. :Dbefore his 3rd bet I though he had something like AK or Two Face cards, Or some pocket pair.
  13. At those blinds, I don't think you could have gotten him off AK. At the flop he had top pair top kicker...
  14. Was playing at Winstar Casino Today 1/2 Cash game and played this:I've been at the table for ~2 hours now and I have $125. Everyone at the table is really loose(Basically waiting for a hand) Like they are playing Paint-rag and the board just keeps pairing up. Villian had sat down only like 30 minutes prior. I'm playing semi-tight(This is a table of limpers, so where I can limp on weak hands I do)I'm in middle position and I look down at Pocket A's. Villian(UTG+2) raised to $8, A fold, and I reraise to $16, Folds back to the Villian bets $40 pretty quickly, I take a short while and push all in(
  15. At least one of them were on the flush draw and made it on the turn. If they did, you are drawing dead, I believe this is a fold. Even if not, should a spade hit on the river, any spade will play and you'd be screwed. Fold it and hate it.
