Whatever you want to do. Either post your thoughts in the OP, or give them later after a few replies.I like the way you played the hand. I think we can make a case for calling and capping. Do you have a read on the villain? More specifically, would he 3-bet you here with trip queens? I'd expect a set or 2 pair to almost always raise the turn if they didn't 3-bet the flop.EDIT - I see your "new to the table read". I probably cap vs an unknown.

I hate to see new posted hands after Actuary and Zach. They leave nothing else to say.But i am gonna anyway.Call the flop let other people in.You are drawing to nuts you want people in not out. However raising flop disguised your hand well.UTG+2 doesn't put you on a straight now.Cap river.

Do what Actuary does, or says to and don't read the replies until you have posted. Also, I'm almost always wrong.

Haven't read replies...I like capping here slightly better than just calling. Villain hasn't showed much strength at all until the river. I dunno, I was gonna say that think it's AK/KQ alot, but then the pre-flop limp doesn't make sense. Of course, it is .5/1 and there are many players who flat out refuse to raise at this level. I think you're good here often enough to cap. He didn't really play it like a set at all. After reading replies...Good call on the flop Actuary and Zach, I think this is a good place to just call, though I do think a case can be made for the raise. We do have solid equity even against two opponents and we might be able to stop someone from going runner runner flush and having a redraw or something if we hit the turn. That said, I still think I prefer the flop call line. Like Bud said though, I think the flop raise disguises our hand enough that he doesn't put us on a straight. I put villain on AQ here and go ahead and cap, then I puke all over my moniter when he shows down 99.

Flop:If an early position player led this flop, I would raise the turn.In that scenario, we would get to use our free card play without greatly thinning the field. But this preflop raise loses too many players, thus causing our potential Straight to lose value.River:I am confused. Why would we not cap this river? We are fearing the full house? But surely Villain would have been more agressive with his set/2 pair earlier. The fact that he only called our flop raise and checked the turn rules out these hands, in my opnion. Thus capping the river for value is a must.--CM

yeah. Here's my thinking: I'm never playing Trip Q's like he did. I mean, does he think we don't know that our "flopped bottom two pair" was counterfeited on this river. The logical part of me says he has to know trips are no good after we raise the river. Would any of you all 3-bet KQ on this river ????Then, of course, most players are bad, and it probably is a cap for value, as I stated, though, I'm slow to get that value in there.

i really hate raising the flop.we're shutting out like 3 or 4 people, and we probably have to hit our straight to be good.i like it if we have some overcard outs, but not here

hey all, let's look at this in terms of Results oriented thinking. If no one else calls, it's almost a raise for value, with some free card value added in.If 1,2,3 more others behind us call...well..now it's genius.,I'm now going back to say: Good Flop Raise,.Note, I just asked earlier, i never gave my view!tell me where I"m wrong.I'll let you have the last word.
