hi i was just wondeirng, how does the LO work in omaha, ive been super confused... i mean i know its to the 8 but how does it work with the 5 cards??

There is a helpful beginner's Omaha hi/lo article in the omaha section. http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...opic.php?t=3312In that post, he discusses how to read low hands by reading the cards as a five digit number that starts with the highest card So, given your example, 2,3,4,5,6 and a,3,4,6,7, you'd start with the high cards and see that 65432 is a lower five digit number than 7654a and thus is the winning low. As the previous poster said, you don't need to worry about all of the low cards if the highest card in one qualifying low hand is less than the higest card in the second qualifying low hand (as is the case in your example). It's easy to see that a five digit number starting with 6 is less than a five digit number starting with 7.

the best low is the wheel, A2345, and for example A2347 will always lose to A2346, a 7 low to a 6 low, also A2378 will also lose to A2368, remember 5 individual cards at 8 or lower, 23467 beats 24567, good luck

have you seen the fish in the o8 games? it's absurd! people drawing 2 to their 78 thinking it'll be a good low, busting, rebuying, busting, rebuying, lather rinse repeat if you thought there were fish in holdem, try o8, you'll find nemo in no time.

For the matter, regular Pot Limit Omaha Hi seems to be filled with people who don't understand that you can't play it the same way as you play Hold 'Em. "Uh oh, you're all in and that diamond hit the river...what? My top set is still good? Hey, thanks for CALLING me with second set and no real redraw! Woo!"
