I've played the MGM tournys. They're pretty good. They'll let you rebuy in if you get busted out for the first hour, but they're not rebuy tournys. They have one at 11am for $65 and one at 7pm for $125 or something close to that. They're pretty good tournys.Brad

Has anyone here played in any of the following casino's daily tournaments?Treasure IslandStratosphereAladdinMGM GrandGolden NuggetHarrah'sThanks
Played in Alladins weekday, $60 or something. Got between 80-100 people. 1500 chips with 25-50 blinds to start, blinds didnt go up TOO fast, but by the final table it was getting close to an all in fest due to general bubble tightness.(no rebuys)

So what would make a tourny a rebuy tourny then?
I knew that was coming. I remember now. They'll let you by in as an alternate cause they let alternates in till the 3rd round starts. I'm not sure why they let that happen. I busted the same guy out twice and the guy next to me busted him a 3rd time. He kept getting back to our table as an alternate. His bad luck. Guy was a total donk.Brad

I've played in the Golden Nugget tourney...I'm not sure if it was a daily, but it was at 1 am on a Monday-$60 buy in, 1 rebuy, 1 add on. I think we had 24 entrants and a buddy of mine rivered a 6 to win the whole thing for about $1000...but that's beside the point. There were a couple of "regulars" who were there when I was and seemed to think they were God's gift but aside from them, the tourney is decent. The dealers seemed to know what they were doing. The floor staff weren't that great though--they were pleasant enough but when it came to making a ruling they seemed to be caught a bit flat-footed. Hope this helps.

I played at the Alladin 2am daily tourney.. $60 entry and usually about 60 people. It's not too bad of a tournament, I think we started with 1,500 in chips with 25-50 blinds that go every half-hr. It's not a rebuy tournament but there were some people who went out early and they let them buy back in. (they also had people on a waiting list and let them buy in if someone got knocked out early) but it's not labeled as a "rebuy" tournament.

i just booked some time and rooms surrounding the orleans open, from july1-july16. they post the blind structures online, lots of 200-500$ buyin tournies which might attract 200-400 in a daily event. i think the 500 buyin events give u like 3000 chips with 10-20 starting blinds and one hour levels. the 200$ events give u 1000 chips with 10-20 starting and 1 hr.

Thanks for all of the info guys (and gals, if applicable). I just got back today, and I had a great time. I only had a chance to play in 4 tournies, but cashed in 3 of them. This is a pretty slow time of the year, I guess, so the tournies weren't that crowded, but a 1st, 3rd, and 4th are fine with me!
