socalpoker_j 1
Anyone going to be in Vegas around this time? I'm getting in tomorrow around 5 and then heading straight to the Wynn. If anyone wants to meet up on Friday for Tryst, Saturday for Tao, or to play poker any of these days, PM me and we'll make something work. Otherwise, everyone have a good weekend. Byan_Railey 0
I land in Vegas tomorrow at 9am Vegas time. I am going with a group of guys who dont play much poker so I may not get as much action as I would like. I plan on hitting the daily noon tourney at Cesars.$130 total buy-in (includes an add-on). Deepstacks & 40 min levels. From what I hear its a good deal for such a low buy-in.
watbri 0
the caesars tourney is a good one...
ryan2323 0
ceasers noon tourny is good. Buddy I was with on Superbowl weekend was 2nd in the Monday tourney. Lots of play for 130$ 40 min levels are great. Watch the tax withholdings though.... from what i understand Ceasers and related casinos withhold 30% on tourny winnings for anything over $600? Ask before you play what the withholdings are... tax withholdings for tournies are different at each Casino. Makes sense to play where you will receive the greater amount of cash if you final table...
HubDub04 0
I cashed in the Bellagio $540 Daily tourney good for $1200 2 weeks ago and they didn't withhold anything.

They can't withold more or less than the law dictates.

This is sent to the IRS. So you pretty much have to declare it on your taxes. Its a pretty shitty deal because after buyin and tip I didnt really win over 600 but the prize was. This was probably 6 months ago so they may have changed it and now withhold. As a sidenote the tourney is by far alot better than any others in town (except wynn, venetian and bellagio which have larger buyins) but the blinds do go up rather fast. 25/5050/100100/200 25200/400 50400/800 100600/1200 1001000/2000 2001500/3000 3002000/4000 4003000/6000 5005000/10000 10008000/16000 200010000/20000 2000They are definatley missing a few levels. But overall I do like the tourney.Presto
WhatArunAA 0
I took 3rd in the Mirage tourney and they didn't take any taxes.. they said " we know you all are tax paying citizens"....The Wynn basically did the same thing. .they just took our names down to put on some website.
