I don't think the value of pushing and the value of leading $20 here are significantly different. Against some players, the $20 lead might even induce -more- folds than the all in. Most likely: he'll either fold in either case, call the $20 and the allin, or call the allin and raise the $20 bet allin. The other scenarios won't occur as often. And, of course, you should never make the same play in the same situation every time.
