Great read for sure.I think I kept visiting cardplayer.com just to read that quiz every day until I finally borrowed the book from a friend. The added benefit is pulling out hands I disagreed with and debating with other poker players.
I really don't read poker books, but I've heard that there are a ton of really debatable hands in there. I used to go to CP for those quizes too, and I disagreed with a bunch of them too.

I play limit b/c I'm good at it and I suck at NL. I really hope limit doesn't die, but I'm afraid it is dying at least to an extent. If I had to guess, I'd say that eventually NL will die down some and limit might make something of a comeback, but who knows. Maybe NL will go on forever and NL will become as scarce as 7-stud, that would suck but it certainly could happen.

I disagree...More and more people are moving to limit every day. I was a NL player before myself and now I only play Limit (except some home NL games for fun)...But there is more action and money in limit for sure.

Ill bump this so acesup64 can see it and respond
Thanks for the bump.OP, I used to be like you too when I was grinding the 10/20 and 20/40 minbet games at the casino. I used to think that minbet was superior to awww eeen holdem. Then I went on a brutal downswing where there would be several hands where I raise with AA or KK and get like 8 callers. And I flop a set but some smelly old man makes runner runner straight and then looks at me thru his bifocals and then says "Sometimes you gotta know when to gambool". The first few times, I could handle the beat but after getting gangbanged lubeless by smelly old ppl over and over again, I decided that minbet was not for me.OP, I seriously wish you all the best in your minbet endeavours. My only advise is to only play at stakes where ppl will respek your raises cos if they don't, it's just a cardcatching contest.
