JeremyG 0 Posted September 13, 2006 Share Posted September 13, 2006 Can't say I blame 'em.As an affiliate of a few sites I get emails inviting me to their parties at conventions, etc. Casino Partners (Titan Poker, etc) has been VERY excited, putting on parties, etc.Well today I get this email: In light of the current political climate in the U.S. surrounding online gaming, Casino Partners has decided that it is not currently in our best interest to attend the upcoming Casino Affiliate Convention in Las Vegas. While we are confident that the present uncertainties will be resolved favorably in the long term, in the short term the United States Justice Department has not clearly defined their interpretation of the ambiguity in laws governing our industry, and with this ambiguity comes a level of risk that, while small, we feel is best avoided at this time. If it is the former, then I think it's pretty damn stupid to be having an online gaming convention in the United States in the first place. Wasn't it the President of BetonBet.com that got arrested as he stepped off an airplane earlier this year? Seriously...this is like organizing a Child Porn Convention in Washington, DC.
