Who Is The In The Sb When The Bb Gets Busted.

Recommended Posts

At my home tourney everybody says that a person can't skip their BB. So when the BB gets busted, the person who was UTG is the BB and there is no SB. I hate this rule cuz if the BB and the UTG guy get busted there would be no initial pot which doesn't make sense, does it?Online I think there has to be a BB and SB even if the blind has to skip somebody.

I don't know the official rules, but in our home tourneys we play that the BB moves, regardless. If that means someone gets put in the spot of having to post a 2nd sb, then we don't have a sb on the next hand.More discussion is about who has to DEAL :club:

No if the BB and UTG both get busted Button still is a "dead button" aka it holds its spot UTG+1 post BB hand is delt. next hand Button still holds, orginal UTG is now sb and UTG+1 is BB after this hand button continues around like normal.Differnt way to do it and how some casinos do it is. the button moves every hand so the Dealer would be forced to post the BB as the Dealer along with the Orgianal UTG play and the UTG +1 guy. SO there would be 3 BB that hand. following hand it would be Cutoff post sb, dealer post sb, what would be sb post sb and BB post BB. then after that hand it would be back to normal. I prefer the first one second just seems dumb and more for cash games. But your friends are right you should not be allowed to miss the BB. I have played a few home game touraments where they allow it and just keep the button moving and blinds in normal spots.
