First Hand: Fold, it's an offsuit ace with only an 8 kicker, it's just not a good hand, don't play those.Second hand: Same thing here, fold this, it's the same thing but the kicker is even worse. Play these if they're suited and you think you'll have a few people in the hand with you, so you can go for a flush or 2 pair, if you don't get either of those, then fold on the flop. (Flush draw on flop)Third hand: I would fold this one too. K9s isn't good, especially in early position. The only time you might play this is if it gets folded around to you in late position and it might just be you and the blinds. As for sticking around.. with an open ended straight draw, you want about 4 1/2 to 1 odds to call this here. The pot is 1.60 and you have to put in .25 So you have about 6 to 1... you can call this if you want, but with only one other person in the hand, you can also easily fold because the implied odds aren't going to be extremely high. Also, if you call the flop, but don't hit the draw, I don't think you have the odds to see the river. Either way, I would have folded all 3.

Ditto, all 3 are easy folds. If you play weak Aces consistently you'll end up broke. K9s is a easy fold, but if you can expect at least 4 in the pot and can limp late than it's fine to play.

You need to fold this as you can oly draw to one striaght, a second nut flush, and top pair with a soso kicker. Do you see the problems with this hand now. also by playing it here you are risking it getting raised and this hand is only worth limping with more often than not in late position. first hand it was correct to fold preflop. Second and third hands should both have been folded preflop. Your preflop game is weak. If you are serious about poker you should buy Small Stakes Hold 'em by Ed Miller, the best book out there for small stakes games imo and it will tell you what works preflop and what doesn't. It would be a good start for you.

Save yourself the money and don't buy any small stakes poker book.Here's your beginners book.Raise from any position with AA, KK, QQ.Nearly always raise with JJ from any position...if there are multiple people in for a raise and you have JJ, just call.Call up to 2 bets with 10s.Raise AK from any position.Raise with AQ, feel free to fold AQ if raised before you.Raise with AJ suited, fold otherwise.Limp with A10 suited.Call one bet with any PP if you have position.There you go.
