Thank you for listening. Down 50 BB in last two days playing stupid poker. This happend when I bought S/S, and now S/S2 is delivering the same. I hate adjusting my game - I always **** it up for a while.Cards have been freezing too . .

Are you saying you adjusted your game to what SS2 says?If so you deserve to lose. Why change your game because of what you read in a book? Take the advice on board but dont use it as a system. Play your normal game and use the book knowledge as a guide in certain situations.SS is outdated and should not be used at all. Also from the reports I've heard, SS2 is full of terrible information. All else fails, 'blame Canada'

I should know better. But I read those pages and I get pumped thinking I'm going to crush games. Get too agressive on marginal hands and then I have re-adjust to some new happy medium. And I live in Canada, so I can't blame myself.

The limit section in SS2 is very good, but if you are going to incorporate any of it into your game, do it one step at a time. For example, if you choose to try raising the turn to get free showdowns, add this and nothing else to your game for a couple of weeks. Then when you know how well it works for you, you can keep it or bin it.Then move on to your next change

Thanks Kramit!I kind of feel like the limit section doesn't wholy apply to the games I'm playing. I play $0.50 / $1 online and I find that agression isn't necessarily the way to go. At these limits people will call down stupid flushes and I 'm giving them free bets. Especially the section on middle pairs. I don't think middle pairs are even money online. I prefer playing slower and think I'm going to go back to that.

Personally I think SS 1 & 2 are more suited to live play where you can actually establish a table image. Most of the time online people are in and out of the table so often it does little good to try and establish a table image. But that is JMHO.

I don't think any of the contributors of the book ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever played the low limits that are played online. Play your style and use books to bolster some weaknesses. When you go to play live at a casino for 5/10----30/60, many of those suggestions will apply. However, alot of 5/10 games play like .50/1 online. I have done the same thing. I won a tourney and had enough to play 10/20 and 5/10 holdem at a local casino. I got Lee Jones' book and another book about beating those games. I played those starting hand charts and followed almost all the suggestions. I lost more than I won. I then went back to playing how I felt comfy and won consistently. It all comes down to your comfort level. Play comfy and you will have confidence. Confidence is the key to having the correct frame of mind to consistently win.
