nomad_monad 0
looks fine to me. just a terrible play and beat by your opponent.although, no need to overbet the turn. potting it would've been fine.
Jordan 1
You played it fine.I'm assuming you put him on flush draw since that came out and you checked and were surprised to see running trips from a horrible gutshot draw.If I'm in this hand with AA, I'm betting that river if it's not a club and still pairs the 8. Although I'm ok with you checking here since it did bring the club draw.Just an unlucky beat. What can you do?- Jordan
Fupo 0
You got a lot of money in there with the best hand, well played. Was villian a serious calling station? Thinking about the huge turn bet.

Thinking about the huge turn bet.If it's one thing I know is I have a LOT to learn. Having said that I didn't have a clue about my opponent for probably one of a few reasons. The top one being I was trying to play 3 SNG's, a MTT, and 2 NL cash games. After that beat I started paying attention to him and he seemed to either play like crap or was on a rush where he knew to play some junk hands knowing he was getting his.I did put him on a flush draw and was betting so hi trying to get him to either 1) fold his flush draw or 2) pay dearly for drawing at it.Turns out he played like crap and got lucky.I'm real surprised he checked the river, I guess he was just trapping. mtdesmoines 3
1. People overplay aces every day.2. Never underestimate the level of bad play and chasing at .25/.

Never underestimate the level of bad play and chasing at .25/.25I agree about both your comments. But does that mean I overplayed them? I thought I played it pretty good besides a lil too much on the turn. Everytime I bet I was an overwelming fav. I'm confident if he called 10 bucks with an 8 he would have called or raised anything I bet on the river. I guess that part goes w/o saying though.

Don't forget ... the villian was in the big blind, called you to see the flop, and he got VERY interested in a what would appear to be a junk flop to someone holding AA. RED FLAG. Now, all that being said, the idiot (villian) was actually behind in the hand when he made a terrible call on your big raise at the turn. Theoretically, pot-level betting would have protected you here. But again, .25/.25 is where you'll find every kind of idiot and people blowing off steam. Dangerous waters and difficult to learn the game. Again, IMHO.
