ControlFreak 0
Just got knocked out of the 10:00 $30 MTT on UB.Blinds are 100/200 and it's raised to 700 2 spots ahead of me. I call with AKo and the rest of the table folds.Flop is AKx rainbow and he puts me all in.I figure that if he has AA or KK .. more power to him .. and callHe flips over AQsHe then hits runner runner clubs for an ace-high flush, knocking me out of the tourney. In the last 24 hours I've been knocked out of tournaments with the following matchups:Lost my 44 to 72o with he board showing 558 when I went all-in (and he called with no pair/no draw) .. runner runner 7's gave him the full house (but he only needed the first 7)Lost my AA to 44 where the 44 made quads (set on the flop, quads on the turn)Finally, my AT vs A9 was another fun one .. but not that awful of a beat compared to the first one, which was 95/5 for me to double up
Dirtydutch 8
you call that the worst bad beat story?
ControlFreak 0
No .. I call that MY worst bad beat story.AK vs AQ with AK7 on the board and only a backdoor flush to save him? That's the worst I've been sucked out in my poker lifetime.
Dirtydutch 8
lol i'm just board... sorry.Dutch.
ControlFreak 0
Sorry I snapped. I was about 40 of 106 left, and could smell the top 10 there going into the stretch. When that last club fell it hit me like a 50 pound bowling ball.
ControlFreak 0
I actually had it wrong .. there were 2 clubs on the flop and he was AQ off-suit (ace of clubs though).
Guest
Look at the times of these bad beats. I nearly had a heart attack; this is one of the reasons I don't play NLHE. I lost on a 13 outer (which is only bad because he played it horribly), a 3 outer, and a 2 outer within a minute.PokerStars Game #1305044425: Hold'em Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2005/03/04 -20:41:11 (ET)*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to yellowjack [Kc Kh]bryanttac: folds Galz_Master: folds sqirel7986: folds Chuck_SA: calls $0.50h_me_00: calls $0.50koba777: calls $0.50BadBoyBill88: folds MrFlop29: folds yellowjack: raises $0.50 to $1deadlunetik: folds Chuck_SA: folds h_me_00: calls $0.50koba777: calls $0.50*** FLOP *** [3d 6d 7h]yellowjack: bets $0.50h_me_00: calls $0.50koba777: raises $0.50 to $1yellowjack: raises $0.50 to $1.50h_me_00: calls $1koba777: raises $0.50 to $2Betting is cappedyellowjack: calls $0.50h_me_00: calls $0.50*** TURN *** [3d 6d 7h] [9s]yellowjack: checks h_me_00: checks koba777: bets $1yellowjack: calls $1h_me_00: raises $1 to $2koba777: calls $1yellowjack: calls $1*** RIVER *** [3d 6d 7h 9s] [5h]yellowjack: checks h_me_00: bets $1koba777: calls $1yellowjack: calls $1*** SHOW DOWN ***h_me_00: shows [8c 6h] (a straight, Five to Nine)koba777: mucks hand yellowjack: mucks hand h_me_00 collected $18.25 from potSeat 5: koba777 mucked [Td Ts]---PokerStars Game #1305043012: Hold'em Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2005/03/04 -20:40:55 (ET)*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to yellowjack [9c Ad]Jaimers: folds jakespoon22: folds FFChambo: folds el santo: calls $0.50UPTON: checks gloknows: folds Paladin76: folds Northern27: calls $0.50yellowjack: calls $0.25xogget: checks *** FLOP *** [6s 9s 9d]yellowjack: bets $0.50xogget: calls $0.50el santo: folds UPTON: folds Northern27: folds *** TURN *** [6s 9s 9d] [Jh]yellowjack: bets $1xogget: raises $1 to $2yellowjack: raises $1 to $3xogget: calls $1*** RIVER *** [6s 9s 9d Jh] [4s]yellowjack: bets $1xogget: raises $1 to $2yellowjack: calls $1*** SHOW DOWN ***xogget: shows [4d 9h] (a full house, Nines full of Fours)yellowjack: mucks hand xogget collected $13 from pot---PokerStars Game #1305038669: Hold'em Limit ($0.50/$1.00) - 2005/03/04 -20:40:07 (ET)*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to yellowjack [7c 6c]deadlunetik: folds bryanttac: folds Galz_Master: folds Chuck_SA: folds h_me_00: folds sqirel7986 is connected koba777: calls $0.50BadBoyBill88: folds sqirel7986 has returnedMrFlop29: calls $0.25yellowjack: checks *** FLOP *** [3s 6h 6s]MrFlop29: checks yellowjack: checks koba777: bets $0.50MrFlop29: folds yellowjack: raises $0.50 to $1koba777: raises $0.50 to $1.50yellowjack: raises $0.50 to $2Betting is cappedkoba777: calls $0.50*** TURN *** [3s 6h 6s] [Tc]yellowjack: bets $1koba777: calls $1*** RIVER *** [3s 6h 6s Tc] [8c]yellowjack: bets $1koba777: raises $1 to $2yellowjack: calls $1*** SHOW DOWN ***koba777: shows [8h 8d] (a full house, Eights full of Sixes)yellowjack: mucks hand koba777 collected $11 from pot
ControlFreak 0
I can't argue that those were pretty bad beats you got there. I was looking at my hand and I could only have been beaten by runner-runner queens, runner-runner JT for a straight, or runner-runner clubs. So it wasn't quite as bad as I thought .. it wasn't JUST the one runner-runner .. there were a few different combos he coudl have gotten. Also, if he had AA, KK, or 77 when I first called, I would have been drawing pretty thin .. not as thin as he was drawing, but close ;-)
augmented 0
i saw a similar thing happen, where flop is K74 and there had been heavy preflop betting between these guys. now the first guy, very solid player, moves all in, and the other guy immediately calls with AQ....blake has AK. no flush possibility, but sure enough JT rolls off and this guy wins the hand, and eventually the tourney. i plugged that hand into the poker odds calculator, and when the chips went in, jin was 1.9 percent to win...........i can't stand it because he is like the worst player ever.my worst beat is this: i have K9, flop is K98, i go all in. this other guy, who is basically a stupid gambler, turned his hand face up (Q7 off suit, absolutely nothing) just giggles and calls my bet, which was about $2.50, which in this game was actually a sizable bet. also another guy calls with 2 pair kings and eights. but, sure enough, this guy gets running queens, and i get hella robbed. it was awful man. ControlFreak 0
Just ran my QQ into AA to get knocked out of the midnight tourney in 18th. I don't mind AK calling and beating me there .. but the odds of an overpair 8 handed with QQ .. just usually pretty comfortable that you're not going to be a dog in that hand. MDXS 0
I was just dealt my worst bad beat ever in a home game tonight. Though it isn't worth telling cause I'm sure no one wants to hear it. I'm just letting you all know because it's my 100th post.
