Hey guys, i am about to book a trip to Biloxi for April4-7. I h avent been down there since Katrina but I am looking for some action. I will be at the Imperial Palace where they apparently have a new poker room but I haven't found any info on their spread or anything. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks

Hey, I'm from Biloxy(actually about an hour north) the first thing I would suggest is don't go to the IP go to the isle of capri, their poker room is alot nicer. The IP's is not really a room at all, they put a bunch of tables in the middle of the non-smoking slots area, so it's really loud and hard to concentrate. The isle offers a regular 1/2 No Limit game, and 1-4-8 nonstructured Limit Hold'em(really fun and easy to beat) plus a part-time 7 stud game, and they also will spread any game you ask for if they can get a full table for it. As for Ip I know they offer 1/2 No Limitand 4/8 Limit, but I'm not sure what else. Hope to see ya the tables!P.S. I hope you're not planning on leaving the casino unless you're just going to look at the damage, because there's really nothing else open yet.

I don't think they do, but I could be wrong. I'm close enough where I can just drive home every night, so I've never bothered to ask. Sorry.

Three casinos open: the IP, the Isle of Capri, and the Palace(no poker room)2nd question: YES! They might actually be getting more traffic than they were before Katrina because there's nothing else to do, plus there are only three open.

herokid7, when was the last time you were there?I was there at the begining of the year, and the isle's poker room sucked was about 12 tables.IP poker room was alot better 30+ tables, yes it was in a slot area, but was inclosed by a glass wall, also when i was there they were in the middle of expanding it to twice its size. and making that whole area poker only. And Palace doesn't have a room? I didn't do there this time.. but they had a room there before katrina hit.. don't know why they wouldn't now.I would call each casino before i went and ask them how many tables/rates they have... then go from there.

Don't go to the Isle the room is too small and the spreads are very limited. The IP has expanded there room in the last few weeks, while its not a "room" in itself its still better than the Isle. IP will take a intrest list for any game you want and they will actually advertise it. I play 6-12 but they offer 4-8, 10-20, sometimes 15-30 or 20-40. 1-2NL, 2-5NL, and Ive seen a 10-20NL. The IP also has a club open now, Club IP. Its decent although they have stopped letting you bring drinks into the club from the casino floor. Let me know how it goes. I'ts a lot of the old grand Biloxi players and staff running it. My biggets complaint is the tables are the worst poker tables ever. No felt, they are almost rubberized. Best praise, the weekend afternoon shift has some nice eye candy. As for nothing else being open, thats not true at all. Tell me what you are looking for and I'll tell you where to find it.

Heading down there in April, is the coast still trashed? We have had a trip to Gulf Shores booked for a while now, just wondering how the rest of the area is?

I haven't been to the Ip i awhile so they might have grown. They didn't have in glassed in either, but they might now. The Isle only does have 11 or 12 tables but I didn't think the IP had a lot more than that(they might now, though). Plus, this week the Isle started having weekly tourneys:Tuesdays: No-Limit Hold'em Poker Challenge: Starts at 10 AM. Registration begins at 7 AM. $15 buy-in plus $5 dealer toke re-buy. Players start with 800 in tourney chips plus 200 for optional dealer toke. 20 minute rounds before break, 15 minute rounds after break. $30 add-on at the break will receive 3000 in chips. Players may re-buy until first break.Wednesdays: Limit Hold'em Poker Challenge: SAme times. $110 buy-in plus $5 optional dealer toke re-buy. Players start with 4500 in chips plus 500 for optional dealer toke. same round structure.Thursdays: No-Limit Hold'em Freeze Out: Same times. $55 buy-in plus $5 optional dealer toke. Players start with 1500 in chips plus 500 for the toke. Same structure.
