ugh, why did I think it was the last weekend of May, not first weekend of June. My parents are coming in to town that weekend; haven't been here in a year and that is the weekend they pick.

We got a puppy and I'm trying to crate train him. Last night went really well and tonight was going well until about 4 minutes ago when he started freaking out. Poor baby has to learn to chill out. I'm impressed the kid sleeps through all the barking and carrying on! Good job kid.Crate training works and is totally worth it right? It feels like crying it out all over again.

So, uh...The university gives out annual awards to staff members who are nominated as "unsung heroes" by their coworkers. I just got a phone call and apparently I won of the 11 given out each year. I have no idea who nominated me, or why, but that's pretty sweet. I also get to miss a day of work to go to some luncheon or something to be presented with the award. I wonder if I have to wear a tie. PS - Oh, and there's a cash award of $1,000. So that doesn't suck.
