fuzzyD 0
I'm going through PSO and signing up with a few different rooms. I've been choosing the 6000 PSO points as my "free gift," figuring I could always cash them for the GCs and put those to good use. I'm wondering about some of the poker chipsets though -- are they worthwhile? If so, which ones? If not, what do you find is the best thing to do with PSO points?
alf13 0
As far as the chip sets go...The Nevada Jack sets are really good...the other stuff is crap.
fuzzyD 0
Yeah....I figured if I was going to get chips, I'd get the best they offer.I probably wouldn't go out and spend cash from my pocket on a chipset, although I guess that's kind of what I'm doing by passing on $250 of amazon.ca GCs (Xmas shopping, anyone?).So.....is 300 chips enough? or do I need the full 500?(for small home game -- single table)
ShakeZuma 585
I want a set of the new paulsons if they could make a decent version of it. real clay chips are the best.
Darrek 0
I've been on PSO for a while. I, like you, haven't bothered picking up a chipset either. I'm not too sure of the quality of them and they don't have any sample packs anymore. I always go for points and get the Party gift certs.
Manihack 0
How does PSO work?
Entrepeneur 0
PSO is great! I haven't had any problems with them and they've got pretty good turnaround time.Basically, go to www.pokersourceonline.com and you can pick your bonus (points, chips..whatever) and then choose the site you want to play on.Make sure you follow the instructions and put the right codes in as they tell you to.I haven't had any problems with them, and my wife just bought a lot of our Christmas presents 2 nights ago on Amazon with the gift card I got.SIDENOTE: Giving your wife some of your bonus money to Christmas shop is +EVJust make sure you read the instructions. I'm trying to clear the Titan bonus to get the poker chip set right now. You could get 9000 points or the chipset, and the chipsets are selling on ebay for 130+....Lame..but..I figured if I don't like them, I'll sell them for 130bucks on ebay. Hard for me to clear the bonus trying to play at .25/.50. Really easier at the 1/2 tables..but I'm not having luck there (best to stay in my bankroll for when I make dumb mistakes).PSO name is Entrepeneur if you need someone as a referral..Thanks. Sushiman 0
I've had nothing but awesome experiences with PSO. The process is easy and the support forum is always pretty quick to help you out. Btw, make sure you take advantage of the upgrades they have each month, when you can turn your 6000 points to 9000 for certain sites. I never bothered with the nevada jacks because I already had a set of the weighted plastic ones from ebay. I'm sure they suck in comparison but I don't really care about chip quality for my dorm games. From what I hear they are a very good value as a promotion item though. In my opinion the best use for PSO points is the party poker certificates. They make a money transfer into your PP account. I play a few hands to cash it out and it's as good as cash. More versatile than other GCs imho.
Darrek 0
They're also looking into picking up Full Tilt GC's which as I understand it (I don't have an account there yet) are available for cashout immediately.
