Jadaki 0 Posted November 19, 2005 Share Posted November 19, 2005 When they have a guaranteed tournament (in this case with a 70k prize pool), and there are not enough entrants to cover the guarantee, then you have an overlay.It's simple, if the buy in is 100.00 dollars, for a 70k guarantee tournament, but only 500 people register, meaning there is 50,000 in the prize pool from the players, then the extra 20k that is guaranteed by the site is considered an overlay.
