I agree with most everything said above. The one clear cut thing I LOVE about playing live as opposed to online is the tilt factor, and the desire to jump up in limits to try and get even. Look, we're probably all guilty of it, unless it's an off time in the casino (early AM during the week), most games are full with a list. I find the temptation to jump up in limits to strong to resist sometimes....and of course the only games open are 6 max games...lol.The result is often disasterous to the bankroll. I admire you guys who can multi-table 3+ games at once, but it just isn't going to happen in the near future for me. I like online due to the huge amounts of tourneys and SNG's, but I simply get bored too easily. The answer is not, "Play more tables...I usually just lose money that much faster, lol!" I enjoy the social aspects of poker as opposed to how I can get my bb/100 up .4 over the next 500 hands.

Online is quality, playing 8 tables at a time you can usually see 500 - 800 hands / hour.
Wow... anybody playin more than 3 maybe 4 tables online at a time has my utmost respect. That's insane. No way could I keep up with 8.

I think players online are much better than live, that is why you win so much more @ live.
Nope, actually overall the players online are a lot worse. Like I said the main difference for me is that I can read people really well and that is a lot easier live.People tend to chase a lot more online as well.

I can't speak for the low limit games online but as for as my online vs Live NL experience goes. I'd have to say the players online on average are better than the people I play in person. Why? Simply because they saw it on TV and came in to give it a shot.

I used to think that before I actually started playing online. I have played 2-4, 3-6, 4-8, and 5-10 at casinos, and all of them are comparable to .5-1 online. I have tried 2-4 online, and the players are much better than live at the same limits.

A lot of that depends on where you play live. If you are playing at a hot vacation spot then yes I agree, but just your local Casino with a bunch of regulars who play there all the time, then no.Now you do run into more good/great players online, mainly because you run into sooooo many players, but % wise I doubt it, or at least from my experience of the places I have been.

people who play in casinos usually are their to have a good time and arent that educated in poker. online players seem to at least know what they are doing. i think players are way more agressive online because no one can see them. u get some 5'11 150 pound 19 year old sitting up in his room who likes to bully people around online, but he couldnt sell that image in a card room or casino and he wouldnt have the balls to go into a casino and play like that. live play is alot more passive.

Maybe some of this depends on the limits you play, I honestly don't find players more aggressive online, actually the opposite, I just see them more as calling machines. Now as for online I haven't played any higher the 5/10, but mostly 3/6. Live I play 3/6, 5/10 mostly and a little 6/12.

I agree. I hate it when people get into a raise fest and it turns out that all three of them are just holding rags. Utterly ridiculous. That's when it stops being fun and starts being a gigantic pain in my arse.

Online play is fun, but I won't put more than 10% of my bankroll into it. It has tons of advantages, but I am old-fashioned and just prefer the live action instead.

Not only is online poker boring, but you also can lose concentration to easily, whereas when you are in a B&M you kind of have to stay focused because there is no TV nearby. At least for me it's like that.
