I think the 23 year old guy was Gavin Griffin. I have no idea who Gavin Smith is, but he also took down the 2,000 buyin event at the mirage a few weeks ago.

Go back to your "Poker at the Plaza" tapes and you'll find him. He is younger, maybe 28ish, a little heavier set with longer hair (below ear), and he wears a hat usually backwards.I think he made the top 9 in that event. (don't quote me though)

I played and drank with Gavin at ESCARGOT a few years ago. We even swapped percentages of each other, and both cashed in the same event, so we had to give money back and forth. He is a real nice guy and a very tough player.
