Whalers/Shortstackers tied up 1-1!

I've got the Stackers as faves in the next three games ( 0.9, 0.4, 0.5)... hoping worst case scenario is to gut out two wins. The edges are relatively small. However, games 6 and 7 are the closest in the series. Whalers with the edge of 0.363 in game 6, Stackers with the exact same edge in game 7. Both close enough that they're very close to being a coinflip.

I like the way my team lines up with the powerful Whalers in this round, but it'll probably be a long series. and it could go either way.

(PS - Games 1 and 2 went exactly as expected. Whalers were a 0.9 goal fave in Game 1 and won, Stackers were a 1 goal fave in Game 2 and won. - Those were the two biggest advantages of the series.)

I wonder what a 1 goal "edge" would turn into in terms of probability. I need a modeler or something. Like, is a 1 goal edge a 60/40 scenario? Does it matter if it's 1 goal but the projections are 2-1 or 5-4? Does the scale make a difference? I feel like Ortenzio probably has this all figured out.

How awesome to wake up and realize you're dumb. I thought Red Ravens' 1st OT was Laine...it was actually Couture.

Is he still operating until regular season tie-breaker rules?

I tried looking but with no interest in that outcome I didn't look too hard. I recall something like your order 1-10 on the lineup page being default and the designated "OT Player" not coming into play, but I couldn't find anything.

Your OT player identified in lineup submission is your 1st OT player and then everyone else in order unless you post otherwise.

I could be wrong on this, because I don't track it particularly well (I should, since we only get draft picks updated once every 6 months)... but I think I am left with only the 38th, 50th, and 58th picks in this draft.

Does Toews rule callups count against our roster numbers going into the auction?

As in, if I have a TR call up, is he one of my 23 skaters?

I'm not 100% certain, but I think he only counts against your 28 players (active & reserve).

It would be useful if Jimmy Vesey counted against my 23, but not my cap. Haha.

According to what Bob stated previously I think Toewes rule players are automatically added to your roster after the draft so they won't count within your 23 player limit, but your 28 player limit.

Toews Rule players and designated Toews Rule players are added to your roster after the auction but before the pick ups are done and they are part of your 28 skaters on active and reserve. You can have more than 5 Toews Rule players but it means you would drop some players right after the auctions to make room. You wouldn't be able to trade them. A couple years ago Chris had more than 5 and he took I think Gretzky and Tie Domi or something like that in the auction and then dropped them.

And to be clear, you can Toewes rule call up ANY player on your farm if you choose to. He doesn't have to have played the amount of games that creates a forced Toewes rule call up. You can draft Rasmus Dahlin, for example, and make him a Toewes rule call up immediately.

That's a change from last year. I lost $3 in cap space and a year of free use for both Colin White and Jayce Hawryluk. Now, if you take the bold risk of calling up a player early (more of what we want) you don't get double punished if he doesn't actually pan out and play in the NHL.
