Am I reading the hand history incorrectly? You didn't want to cbet, so you c/c the flop instead, and then c/f the turn? Looks like you probably lost the same had you cbet the flop. Although, if you did do it that way, you would have at least given yourself a chance to win.In any case, I'm just going to c/f that flop. It's a pretty crappy one for our hand, and hits their range more often than ours.If we had the A of spades, I might consider cbetting, but I'm not sure how much that really changes things.

Yes, if you don't C-Bet, you should probably fold to a strong bet by villain if you whiffed AK. Drawing to a single pair could be costly even if you hit and implied odds says you're going to have to pop in more chips unless you take the lead and shove.

so do you guys ever not cbet on boards given stack sizes. i mean shorter i would have just lead shoved the flopped and been screwed when he hit

you can check on this board but your next move has to be a fold imo. crai or a call is a spew on this board after a check.

If you're ever that short that you would consider open shoving this flop with AK, you're probably better off just sticking it in pre.
