You gave him better than 3:1 to make the call with a combo draw. You didn't bet enough and let him get there.
Oh yeah, cause the ass-end of a gutshot, and a one card 5 high flush are always good things to chase.
Bet stronger the whole way would be my line. As played you could easily save the river bet here.
Seems like a blocker bet to me....which can easily get paid off by a donk with two pair or just AT

I lost a 180K pot to some dumb **** who shipped with 95 clubs(flop was 9 6 2, 1 club). I had JJ, 3 way pot. Other guy has Ax. Bozo hits running clubs for a flush...this is with about 80 left and would have given me a top 10 stack with lots of leverage.

But this early in the tournament, is it worth it on the river to make the blocker bet considering that board?

May I ask why?
Well I agree with what Chet had to say. And also I mean with that turn card hitting he isn't going to go anywhere. He caught what he was looking for. And also with villain calling the re raise on the flop, flatting the turn, and with the straight possibilities, not to mention the 4 clubs on board not betting this river is ok.Say you played the flop the same as villain. Would you fold to a 240 bet on the turn?

First of all I would fold pre... but yes i would fold turn, i'm still chasing a 5 high flush, with four clubs on the board needed, and I still wouldnt know why i'm chasing the ass end of a gutshot. but i guess you're right, the hand was standard...
