chgocubs99 0
the bulls are really playing well, ever since salmons joined the team things started moving in the right directionHim and Miller have added some consistency. They are still an atrocious road team though, and will probably be out in 5-6 games in the first round against any of their potential opponents (obv). Now that they have Miller and Salmons it is a better time than ever to trade some combination of Noah/Thomas/Hinrich/Deng for a legit superstar (Bosh?)
bigkg 0
I cannot even believe that game in Indiana tonight. That has to be one of the worst jobs closing out a game I've ever seen. They were up by seven with two minutes left and decide to run a seven seconds or less offense. Also, the Bulls consistently have the worst last second play calling. It consists of tossing the ball into Gordon and him launching a fade-away 3-pointer.

It consists of tossing the ball into Gordon and him launching a fade-away 3-pointer.The funny part is, on the Afternoon Saloon yesterday he said that was in fact the designed play. He said it had "worked in the past". Ok...because Gordon hits one lucky fadeaway over Bosh to send a game into overtime, that should be the play every time! After all, it worked once!I think Vinny has actually made minor progress, they don't switch every pick anymore, and his sub patterns have improved greatly from the beginning of the year. However, his improvement takes him from clearly the worst coach in the league to somewhere in the bottom 5.
chgocubs99 0
Also, I'm gonna go on record as saying this about Derrick Rose. He has more athletic ability and can make more athletic plays than any point guard, I'll say it, in the history of the league. There has never been a player like Derrick Rose when you combine all of his attributes. That being said, he is an average passer, an average shooter, and a slightly above average on the ball defender, and a basically non-existent help defender. I don't think he'll ever be on the Chris Paul level and it probably won't be close. A top 5 point guard in the league that makes a few all star games sounds about right to me. Which is great. But to talk about him as the next big superstar in the league...I just don't think it's gonna happen.
Suited_Up 2
He's still a rookie, give it a little time, he'll improve some things. What's amazing to me is what he's able to do, and only be a rookie. Wait till he gets a real coach, lol.
Suited_Up 2
I'd also like to add....LOL @ Beasley being the sure thing ROTY after the draft.

I think he's a better passer than you give him credit for and his shot has improved even though it still comes out flat. I'm pretty certain he will be a top 5 PG in the league and obviously a great piece for the franchise to build around.I'd also like to add....LOL @ Beasley being the sure thing ROTY after the draft. The few times I have been able to see Beasley, I have actually been impressed. If Spoelstra played him more minutes I think he would be in the same conversation as Rose/Mayo/Westbrook/Lopez.
Suited_Up 2
We'd rather have the Celtics right? I think so. But they look like they might get the 6 seed.

But they look like they might get the 6 seed.I'd rather have Boston than Clevelnd and would rather have Orlando than Boston. I'm pretty sure we will end up with the 6 seed. Philly plays Boston and @Cleveland to finish out the season. We finish with a game @Detroit and home against Toronto
CaneBrain 95
I'd also like to add....LOL @ Beasley being the sure thing ROTY after the draft.if he got 35+ mins a game instead of 24 mins a game.....he would have been in the discussion. His 28/16 performance last night was awesome.LOL at the the idea that Beasley was the sure ROY. Who said that? Maybe a Heat homer like me. I think people were split btw Rose/Beasley/Mayo AND Oden especially.

Smooth jumper and he has a knack for finishing near the basket (being ambidextrous helps). But his defense is woeful....and his rebounding is inconsistent. He is getting better but Spolestra is a Riley disciple and Riley hates rookies and hates lapses on defense. So thats why Beasley has struggled to get minutes. He kind of seems like Manny Ramirez sometimes.....total space cadet. His post-game interviews are already legendary on the Sunshine network. He makes you laugh. I like him and I think he could score 30 pts a game someday. But, gun to my head, I think Rose turns out to be a bit better.

Suited_Up 2
I heard Oden a lot too, but when the Bulls were right about to get Rose, everyone around here especially was saying that Beasley or Oden would be ROY, and Rose would develop into the best player EVENTUALLY.Anyway... I kinda think Cleveland <<<< Orlando < Boston. As far as having to matchup with the Bulls. KG isn't 100% and it doesn't seem like they've been playing their best lately. But Howard fully enjoys taking his frustration out on the Bulls. He called them out specifically. No thanks.
Jadaki 0
Bulls aren't getting out of the first round no matter who they play.

But Howard fully enjoys taking his frustration out on the Bulls. He called them out specifically. No thanks.I mean I guess some people assumed that because Beasley put up 25/12 in college with ease. But if the Heat had the #1 pick, they would have taken Rose in a heartbeat. So I think most interested parties always thought Rose was the better player and this year confirmed that (for now....you never know I guess). But Beasley is a really good consolation prize. I could see him and Wade both averaging 25+ a game soon.
chgocubs99 0
Anyway... I kinda think Cleveland <<<< Orlando < Boston. \Agreed.No Cleveland now which is good. From the other two you may as well flip a coin, they both have some flaws but are both a lot more talented than the Bulls.
CaneBrain 95
Bulls aren't getting out of the first round no matter who they play.Yeah the top 3 in the East are just way beyond the rest of the conference. Thats why it was so important that the Heat keep the 5 seed. Might get to see two rounds of playoffs that way. At least the bulls look like they have a decent future again. Going into Detroit and winning was pretty clutch. I still hope Nocioni falls in a well.
