It's a complete win-win for the Bulls.. Going into the deadline week, I'm sure unanimously Bulls Fans would say they needed to address their front court shortcomings most of all. Without question they have done this. Dumping Gooden (potentially the most porous PF defender of the modern era) and Nocioni.. and getting back Brad Miller and Tim Thomas is just an amazing upgrade on both sides of the ball.. Both Miller and Thomas are excellent passers whom the Bulls don't need to run the offense directly through to get involved. Both can be spot up shooters to bring opposing big out of the paint. Both can potentially take the scoring load off of the overworked Rose/Gordon/Deng trio. Both can be accurately described as "zone beaters", and zone defense is no longer the pliable option for opposing defenses it was pre-deadline.Moving out Larry Hughes is about as textbook a case of "addition by subtraction" as there ever was. Salmons brings everything that Hughes brought to the table, and more. Even as skeptical as we can be about someone putting up amazing scoring stats on a last-place team, Salmons taking over for Hughes is a complete freeroll, for this season and beyond.John "The Inanimate Object" Paxson went trade crazy at the deadline and Kevin "The Tazmanian Devil" Pritchard stood pat. What bizzaro universe is this, anyways?
The deals were fine and all, but please don't ever use "Brad Miller" and "Tim Thomas" with the words "amazing" and "excellent" in the same sentence ever again.

Point taken. But they were significant upgrades. :club:

What the **** was that?6 minutes to go in the game, he decides to take out Rose.4 minutes to go in the game, he puts BACK in Salmons and Brad Miller. Obviously that makes sense, since they know none of the plays. On the bright side, he took out Tyrus and Noah, which was nice, since Tyrus was the most active player in the second half and Noah was the best defensive player and rebounder the entire game. 2 minutes to go, NOW is a great time to put Rose back in. Makes perfect sense. This will probably help him find his stroke after a 1 for 9 night from the floor...putting people in and out of the game is always a nice way to get your offensive players in a nice rhythm.Jesus ****ing Christ. Does this guy have any clue?

No, it's clear that he doesn't.The defensive game-planning is just terrible. They switch EVERY screen and roll. Every. Single. Time. Every. Single. Game. It's terrible. I can't believe that even an idiot like VDN can't figure out that this won't work.God, today's game tilted me hard.

I was literally screaming at the TV when Stacey King was over there saying the players were getting hurt by switching.YOUR RETARD COACH IS CALLING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!The switching has been making me go nuts for a few weeks now and today it was just brutally obvious Indiana had studied it, and they exploited the hell out of it. Sigh.

yea it did appear vinny real got outcoach and when they wereout of it he still was screaming foul at the end of the game. The guy is a joke does he have any sense who has the hot hand bc i do. Is anyone suprise on how much tyrus has improve his offense game and the guy plays defense. I also agree with other two posters b4 me pulling out rose with 4 mins and putting hinrich in, did everybody see how t.j ford was blowing pass hinrich the times he was on ford. but i do like the make of the team, i think vinny should let the team have a lil freedom. as far of who to replace him. how bout stacey king? jk, but that would be a fun team if hewas on the sidelines. If we need to replace vinny i would liek someone who has experience.

At least Rose finally called Vinny out the other day.... first time he's ever said anything even resembling a negative comment. He mentioned something like he thinks they should have been trapping Harris but they never did.

Yea, unfortunatelyI think I figured out what happened in the Rockets game, though. Vinny played Rose in the 4th quarter! It's amazing what happens when you do that.

They won 3 games at home and lost 3 games on the road. Par for the course.

They beat two of the best teams in the NBA by 17 and 18 and lost by 23 to Washington (arguably the worst team in the NBA). Far from par for the course, regardless of home and away.

Weird stat of the day...Chicago fell to 14-23 vs. Eastern Conference teams this season. The Bulls are 15-12 vs. the West.
Well the East as a whole is 14 games over 500 against the West this year so not really that surprising. The bottom 6 teams in the West are truly horrid.
