over/under on how many minutes into the debate Obama says his hundreth "uhh"?
I don't think he'll get to 100. I'll make the over/under 48.5 for the duration. I honestly beleive that McCain is better in the debate format. Not that I think he's right, but he chooses a much simpler approach to getting his points across. Obama does poorly in these things because it takes him too long to get to his points and then he is (fairly) accused of not really answering the question. I think McCain does a better job of speaking in terms that the average American can understand while Obama sometimes, well, uses too many big words.

In the interest of brevity I just said "uhh" but I was really referring to all of the "gather your thoughts" sounds...uhh, mmm, well, hmm, I I I, :)Stylistically I think its pretty even between the two. Its only in an unrehearsed town hall format that McCain has an edge, which is why BHO wisely ducked them.

All right, I'm already totally annoyed at both of them. They keep complaining about the evils of greed on Wall Street. Well, that's what drives our economy. The ionroblem is NOT Wall St Greed, it when Congress twists laws to favor that greed over other interests. We all are "greedy" in the sense that we accept pay for our jobs. But if Congress passes a law that says that *my* job is worth 1,000,000/yr, and the taxpayers are paying it, that causes economic harm. If I get a million a year because companies are competing for me, that's good. The current economic problems are due to poor regulations.

What the hell is this "say it to him" nonsense. Stop saying that, it looks retarded on TV, and both candidates know that. They're talking to the camera, as they're supposed to, not to each other.

OK, I knew Obama was a bit of a socialist before this, but he's I didn't think there were any unrepentant socialists anymore. He's downright scary with his promise to spend and spend and spend no matter what. He's got nothing to say except "my big govt is better than your big govt."
