self made steps regimen

well after coming in 4th last night in step higher 5 and finally busting out i have decided to create my own step game. i'm sure that many of the SNG players here already do something like this but i thought i would write it out anyway.the trouble with party's structured steps is that they have you looped. quite frankly i would have cashed out $15k after winning step 4 but of course you can't do that...as it is i came one river card away from a $20k payout or better, all for a $33 buy in, but that's not the point.the key is to define when you will quit, cash out and start over. if you keep pushing higher then you will likely lose and have little or negative to show for it.to be safe, start with $500 in your bankroll for this, although it is probably overkill if you are a good SNG player. if you finish ITM 40% or better right now you won't need that much. $200 is what i am starting with.the steps are like this: 33/55/109/215/430 (mini step 5). the only time you expose your original bankroll is in step 1, just like party's steps.move up only when you win your current step. today i've played 4 games:step 1: 3rd (+$27)step 1: 1st (+$144)step 2: 6th (+$89)step 1: 8th (+$56)note the difference already. if i was playing party's steps i would be busted out and having to dip into bankroll to continue. here i can play almost 2 more games before i go negative.if anyone is interested in doing this with me let me know. we could update our progress here, much like the race to $5,000. call it the race to ministep5.scoots

By the time you get to step 4, I fail to why there isn't some minimal cash payout through the top six players. At least this would encourage more oeople to take a a shot--even when losing most of the buyin,
