TravisG 0
i ****ING HATE TOURNAMENTS as of now. im not going to play one of those for at least a decade. im so ****ing sick of ****ing donkeys sucking out every single ****ing time when they are a bizillion miles behind. i was chipleader in a rebuy which potentially would have given me like another 1k to my about 1k roll if my cards would hold one ****ing time. i countet it. i got it all in 8 ****ing times against shortstacks when they were far behind / on draws. in a matter of 30 minutes i was out of the ****ing tournament, before the bubble. THREE times i got it all in against flush draws with sets (2 times bottom set, 1 time top set), FOUR times i lost BIG pots with TP/TK on totally dry boards against donkeys who rivered two pair ALL FOUR TIMES against me ( with J9 / K8o kinda hands). i battled my way back up without showdowns (read: i tiltbluffed my way back up). the last hand i was getting it in preflop with AK against a guy who limp/shoved with A7o! thats so ****ing horrible! i SERIOUSLY dont believe anymore that you can make constant winnings in a playerfield of 500+ donkeys. it just ALWAYS HAS TO HAPPEN that some donkey bigstack sucks out on you (unless you're always the donkey who sucks out). i can understand that in cashgames the luck and bad luck evens out and the winners win, because you get actual money from your won pots, but in tournaments (to me) it seems that unless you run like GOD (and if you run like god skill really has no effect at all) you will lose it in some pot versus a big donkey. im giving up tournament poker as of now. it just sucks bad arse and in all the 400/500 tournaments that i played in my poker "carreer" i can only recall 3 times where i played good AND won reasonable amounts of money. of course i fted more often, but that was earlier when i started playing and was still just luckboxing and sucking out on everyone. and everything was with a playerfield of <350. join the club! i smashed my 2nd cellphone now. i also crushed my chair, a cup of chocolate milk and a bottle of lemonade. i seriously cant take this shit anymore. bye tournaments! hai cashgames 4ever. OhKeePa 0
i finished 5th in the 24,000 guarantee on Full tilt last thursday and probably won 10 all ins... I dont think I was ever more then 20-30 bb after the first break... it wasnt by choice, as I kept getting pushed with average to above average handsYou're right, it isn't about skill in online tournament play at the low limit levels, because people either want to build a massive chip stack or go do something else
TravisG 0
just to make things clear: i'm not the average donkey who thinks that making constant winnings with poker is impossible if youre a unlucky person. i also dont think that my opponents "always" hit there draws or whatever. from now on i just think that in tournament poker with big fields its just like roulette. you can roll on black 15 times, but you either run like god or red will come at least 1 time to blow your winnings. RoadDOG813 0
The flushes and straights are one thing, but I love when I have someone crushed AA vs. KK. Obviously, the K flops a little too frequently it seems.Tournaments FTL.If you get it in pre-flop, those 2 outers will happen sometimes. But, damn, it does seem like it happens a lot.
