2bthebest 2
Sometime in the last 2-3 years there was an incident where 2 guys were able to scam an online pokerroom. The gist of the story was this: The 2 people were able to use a "rematch glitch" for HU SNGs that would basically give them free money somehow. Supposedly, they used this on the highest level SNGs the site offered and were able to get thousands before being detected.I believe I read this here, P5s, or 2+2.Does anyone remember this, who was involved, what site etc.Just wondering because of the HU rematch option on Full Tilt now. Big Jono 0
Yea vaguely recall that, i think it was party poker, and it had something to do with how the software automatically asks you if you want a rematch after a match finished. They clicked yes, the other person didnt and ten they got a refund they didnt pay in the first place when they unregistered or something. Why do you ask?Edit: Just read last line again, see y you asked. BlkJakShelak 0
Simular stories from years ago. In the early 80'sOn hoyles card games, playing craps, when its your turn to throw the dice, place a bet on the pass/dont pass line, let the other players place their bets and then remove your pass/dont pass bet before you throw the dice. You get more money back than you placed on the line. It is not a lot at first but as you gain more money it starts to build up fast. You could get $999,999,999.99 in about 2 hours. If you went over 1 billion it returned to zero. Play money tho. This was on an IBM 386 with a 2x or 4x CD player (over $6000.00) (1 meg of ram = $75 back then) I dont think there was even internet then.Sort of relates to the candy machine story. If you put an arm up the opening in a pop machine and placed two fingers on the release catches, then put a quarter in, when the catch opened after a selection, it was held down and the can stopped from coming out, then someone else pulls the plug out of the wall and stand back because the whole machine would unload out the opening. At least 4 cases of pop up to 24 cases at a time for a quarter. Plug the machine back in and its magic that all the cans are gone with only a quarter in the money box. After a while the machines were retrofited with a stainless steel guard so really only kids could do it. I was in school when kids did this.
