  1. Any good sites detailing heads-up strategy for O8 or even Omaha High? Any tips from the forum pros? Other then the obvious go for the scoop? Thanks a million.
  2. Read and reread Celestine prophecy many times. Love it. It's one of those "shit, I never stop to think about it" kind of books. Not a big fan of the tenth insight, although the secret of shambala (the 3rd installment of that series) was quite interesting.
  3. I was just going with the flow of the posts above mine. ;)To the question: SB called a 4X raise with K5o. He probably would not lay down his crap cards to an 8X bet. Murder the dealer, put SB on your buddylist, and move on. You could've raised more preflop, and you could've pushed on the flop, but I doubt either action would've won you this pot against this player. (unless SB is actually good postflop, which is possible)I think I agree about the preflop raise that he wouldn't of let go his hand, but a push on flop probably would have won it about 50% - 60% of the time. Thanks for all the
  4. Thanks for the reply. I gave action? I guess back to one of my questions, how much is not soft playing it? I did raise 4x the BB.
  5. I think your flop bet is good. You want to bet for value here.I think I would check/call the turn, but I think that may be a fairly week play. The river I would have raised it up. I don't think the CO would have called preflop with something like 9 2 or 9 3 would he? Maybe J 9 or the likes. I'll give him credit for trips, but nothing more.Again, you may take my advice with a grain of salt as I'm not too sure myself if I'm right.EDIT: Sorry, K 9 preflop call is altogther possible. I like the river call.
  6. My HE play has taken quite a hit lately as I've been playing too much O8, but I'll give it a shot.Folding is definitely an option as the pot is small and you haven't invested much. At best, I think you are looking at a split pot if a king comes. I think you are drawing to a runner runner flush to win this pot, as even an 8 puts you on thin ice with the sucker straight. I don't think that calling the flop raise is necessarily bad, but fold the turn to a bet if you don't improve (again this may be too much of an O8 influence though).Right away his check raise looks like KQ, but what hands do

  9. Help please! I've been playing mostly O8 lately and my NLHE has suffered greatly. No reads on the table as this is the 3rd hand into the SNG.Questions:1. Raise more preflop in low limit with such a hand? I figured 4x BB was decent as the blinds were still cheap and I did want some action.2. Raise the flop? If so, how much? 3/4 - 1x the pot? I think fold is out of the question at this stage? Call bad?3. Any other comments on any or all of the play.Stage #311357745 Tourney ID 278628 Holdem Single Tournament No Limit $10 - 2006-01-30 21:37:14 (ET)Table: 5542307 (Real Money) Seat #6 is the d
  10. Thanks for all the replies. I still have lots to learn in this game.Question to Chamonyx regarding his reply. In trying to understand properly your thought process here. At the low limits I am playing, is there really a chance of running somebody off of say the nut flush draw/nut low draw... or am I simply giving people at this level too much credit for drawing to the nuts.
  11. Still relatively new to O8. Lately I've been trying to play much more aggressively and when it works the rewards are great but when it doesn't... ouch does it ever sting.Last night this hand came up where I flopped top set (Ks) with a board of K 9 8 with 2 diamonds. As a side note I didn't really have any redraws. So there were a couple of backdoor draws on board. Now how do you play this? I potted it and got both callers. The turn came a 2 offsuit, so now we have 2 to a low draw as well. Now what? I'm still nuts, but now what? I opted to pot again and again both callers. The river b
  12. It is limit I am looking for. Is there quite a few games on pacific? You are definitely correct about prima for the limit games. I can hop in on one maybe once every few days or so... not exactly what I'm looking for.
  13. Thanks for the quick replies. I'll probably check out PokerStars to start. Kind of what I thought anyways. Hopefully I can find some nice soft action there... .
  14. Hi All,Sorry if this doesn't belong in Omaha strategy. I am wondering what site is best for O8 games. I am currently playing on Royal Vegas(Prima), but O8 cash games are scarce as most of the day you can't even get one going. I can usually get in on a sit n go, but that's not really what I am looking for. So where would be the best site? I imagine that PokerStars or PartyPoker have quite a few seeing as though they have lots of members, but I'm not sure.By the way, I play in micro-limits... that's one reason I do like Royal Vegas as opposed to Party. Can't beat the .05/.10 games for a gu
