  11. It's really hard for me to read the following... The entire "7:14 in the AM" journal entry A couple questions...Who has the all time low score on DN's Golden Tee?The last time any money was at stake, who won?Who hit the games only double eagle?Thats right, the answer is TRAVIS!!!!!I cannot standby idle and watch my GT image be tarnished. Therefore, I challenge you Daniel to a heads up tournament. You may pick the format. All results to be posted here at FCP. Do you accept the challenge?-Travis

  13. Hey guys this interview with ESPN doesn't look like its going to happen today. There was some confusion as to when/where it would take place. Seeing how it was my fault, I apologize to the forum members and those who've read this thread. Sorry -Travis(the assistant)
  14. Yeah, this is my point... it's not your gut here unless you are claiming predictive powers. You call with your gut when the possibilities lend itself to making the right call -- not when all possibilities say else - in this case "call".In one sense it is WORSE than calling with your gut when you have J high on a board with possible trips, boats, a flush and quads - because there you have chances.I'm surprised no one brought up the one Sklansky exception for folding Aces in a late tourney.I've folded aces at least twice before the flop.Of course, both times were in a satellite tournament and I
  15. I would understand the move if only the top two got paid and second place money was "life changing". Otherwise, you should be playing to win. It looks like you were either intimidated by the others moving in or you were extremely confident that you could find a better spot than this to get your money in."I'd lost with aces 3 times so far that night"and..."I went with my gut"are all excuses that bad players make to justify bad plays.Congrats on going on to win it anyway though :-)
  16. There actually is some merit to the things the OP is saying. It does(to a degree) lower your variance. However, if you are a winning player than doing this can only hurt you. If you have an edge than this kind of variance is a good thing. As a winning player you will win more than you will lose and when you're playing with more you will be winning with more.
  17. I make around the same amonut playing poker a week as my other inocomes. Thankfully I live %100 off the other income and never touch my poker winnings. (So some wouldn't call me a "proffessional" I guess)1. Limit ring games only: 5/10 up to 15/30. About 90% of the games I play are shorthanded. Occasional multitable tournament. Probably average 3 $50-100 SNG a week . Tournaments are fun I'm just not a very good tournament player.2. Around 2bigbets/100 hands/table3. I have a rediculously sized bankroll for the limits I play at. If I lose that many bets, it won't be because I was going through a
  18. So if the pro's win and Andy gets the tapes, how does that make the "fishermans tales" stop?(Isn't that what sparked this whole thing?)
  19. I don't think it would hurt the pro's that bad if they lost. I mean they could easily(if they wanted) sell a ton of shares to people and or get backed for a portion of the buy in. I'm sure Andy is a good player but I would think that team Doyle has a decent sized edge. They might feel like scubs but who cares? It's about money not ego(for pro's).I don't understand why the pro's would complain about Beal getting all tv rights/ control over tapes. I mean, the players don't get jack squat the way it is now with tv poker. And what if it wasn't taped at all? Would the pro's decline just because of
