  1. No, I heard it on "Mike and the Mad Dog."
  2. This just in: The Yankees won the bidding for the young lefty, Kei Igawa. They are appearently paying the Hanshin Tigers $25 million for the rights to negoiate with him. Hopefully he doesn't suck.
  3. Who would of thought they would have the same record as the Giants this point in the season?
  4. I'm really curious how WARP is calculated. It's probablly the most useful stat in baseball, but I wonder how it's calculated and the logic behind it.
  5. 5th? I think he's the second most valuable behind Santana. Third is arguable though.
  6. Morneau undeservingly wins the MVP.
  7. It made more sense than not going for it at 4&12 or whatever it was. I'm not going to blame him for the onside kick, but it could have been better executed. It's not why they lost anyways. The Jets defense finally showed up and Pennington played like crap.
  8. I feel that Pujols was the better choice, but whatever.
  9. You can't beat a good team when you turn it over. Pennington just played terrible when it counted most. The Bears were who we thought they were! And we let'em off the hook!
  10. Why is everybody saying it was a good game? That wasn't a very good game. It was controlled by OSU almost the whole time. Michigan was lucky that OSU couldn't snap the football or it would have been worse.
  11. The Red Sox got injured and gave up last year. The Yankees have won 95 games + the past 6 years. Don't let their postseason failures take away from their regular season success. They've failed to beat teams with much weaker rosters during the postseason at times, but a lot of that has to do with who's hot and who's not. There's a lot of variance in baseball.
  12. Probablly. I'm surprised Halladay didn't finish 2nd, but what do you expect?
  13. OSU also has the best defense in football. They are allowing on average less than 8 points a game compared to Michigan's average of 12. 12 is really good, but it's still 50% more than Ohio State. They are not only blowing teams out offensively, but their defense is shutting them down as well.
  14. They were 10 games back of the Yankees last year. They are a decent team, but when compared to the Yankees and Red Sox they simply aren't on that same level. Their lineup is still mediocre and their pitching staff is decent.
  15. This has been totally blown out of proportion. Knight moved his chin up to make him pay attention. What's next? Are coaches going to get in trouble for yelling at their players?
  16. Coming from a neutral standpoint, I think that Michigan is going down. I'm surprised that the Buckeyes are only -7, because I don't think this game is going to be close.
  17. Sure...they will make some money, but how much? I'm sure that people will follow Matsuzaka and it will create revenue, but this is a large amount of money to overcome. I don't know how much sales in Japan have increased for Yankee or Mariner revenue, but maybe it's a lot. They are still several moves away from competing.
  18. FYPThis guy will probablly be pretty good, but this is a ridiculous amount just to negotiate with him. If the Red Sox sign him they'll look like complete idiots for what they said during the Boston Massacre.
  19. I don't know. The Jets could win, but there are a lot of things working against them here. Not only do the Bears have a lot of momentum, but they are #1 against the pass. Seeing as the Jets live off short passes they can have a lot of trouble in this game. If they want to have any shot in this game, they have to bring on the blitz. Grossman is among the league leaders in interceptions so if we can put pressure on him there's a good chance he's going to turn it over.
  20. Yeah...I'd probablly put Arkansas ahead of Florida though. My list would be:1. Ohio State2. Michigan3. USC4. Rutgers 5. Notre Dame 6. Arkansas7. Florida8. Lousiville9. Wisconsin10. West Virginia
