  1. c'mon man seriuosly... anyone heard anything ?yeah, hes in europe hiding from his creditors ..he ows the big game 4 million bucks and he's playing 100/200 on stars trying to win it back...ohh wait ...nevermind...sw
  2. That reminds me of what a friend told me last Fall. He'd won his entry to this year's WSOP and moved to Vegas (where I was living at the time) to get some experience in live poker. Phil Ivey came up in conversation one night. He claimed that Ivey would be able to read him so well that he could beat him without ever even looking at his own cards. I don't think he was kidding. He might be wrong, but I don't think he'd be far wrong.i'd put money on that bet !!
  3. in regards to Layne Flack ?? I've seen this many times partying in night clubs around Vegas , but it's been awhile . If you ever wanted to meet someone who seemed to not have a care in the world this guy is it . It is truly refreshing to hear this guy talk about life ( i'm not sure if he was drunk at the time though )
  4. He does absolutely no self promoting at all , got to respect that about him. At the same time you have to be wondering if he is actually all there to be able to turn down millions in advertising and book promos. I guess his standards are different than most .
  5. take the money and run!! You haven't got a chance heads up against this guy it will take him 6 to 7 hands before he's got you figured out . You wouldn't get the cards long enough to chop him down . Just have to hope for one big hand and even at that this guy is so skilled you won't be able to trap him he'll know ... beleive me he'll know . Like i said in another post it's like ho knows what your holding. I've seen him play in cash games and it just plain out amazes me how he can make the calls he makes or how he can read the table and each individual player . Sitting at a table with this guy
  6. sigh...... look man, you have no idea what you are talking about. this is the most misinformed post ive ever read. he has 5 bracelets in his short career. man go read DN's profile on him. what are you thinking?god dammit ivey owns phil helmuth. i hope your kidding.I've seen him play live more than once and take my word for it there is no luck involved in his game he just plain outplays & outwits everyone else .
  7. it's like he can see what what your holding...SCARY !
  8. Originally being from Toronto , i would love to see DN there but i highly doubt it . He has not been up to the challenge of late . I've seen alot of poker in the past couple of weeks ( including watching Dn , live ) his mind is obviously pre occupied on bigger things .However for this event one would be led to believe it is important .
  9. Got any extra seats in these $25 tourneys?depends , do you slow roll ? More importantly do you know what a cup holder is for ?
  10. perhaps you have misread the part were he spilled his beer all over the poker table after i told him 3x , that in itself is enough of a reason in my books , besides as i said earlier in other posts it is a home game , if Grampa throws in a green chip at the casino the i'm good with that i'll also pull out his chair for him when i bust him .
  11. read my post , dude thats a slow roll !
  12. Serious about what? Playing with other predictable bad players who think they're good. You were right on, you want him there everytime to take his money. Anyone who thinks they're a serious player, but gets annoyed or would want a player like that gone is not serious at all, they're weak players.Depends how you look at it , if it's the money only your after than ya man he's definetly a fish worth keeping around , but when i play home games ecspecially at my place, i'm looking for a good time playing poker with guys who know how to win and lose . However i do respect your input and understand w
  13. My buddies and i play a regular game of Texas every 2nd Friday nothing outrageuos ,usually we'll play about 8hrs and have tournies of 25$ each throughout the night . This time it's at my place , i have a pretty cool set up in the basement ( poker table, dart board foos ball with a little bar & fridge) . Anyways one of my buddies asks if he can bring a friend from work , i say ask the others personally i don't mind . So 7pm rolls around and in walks my buddy with his pal from work . Right off the bat i can tell he's either had too much to drink or too much to smoke or too much of bot
  14. I agree in this situation being severly behind that playing for the trap was a good play , however as a general rule always bet AA.
  15. there's a lesson for ya . I can't understand why people slow play the best possible hands pre-flop. We all know anything can happen after the flop hits , so if you've got the best 2 cards in the whole bet'em man ! This way you scare off the guys chasing bullshit . Take what you can get .
