  1. Calm down.Movies are meant to be analyzed. Something as complex and elaborate as a movie is only begs to be analyzed. As a film studies major this has become more apparant then ever.If you don't feel like putting any thought into the movie then don't bother clicking on the thread thank you very much!
  2. Only 71.What I really want to try is to get really hammered, then play this game and see if being more 'in the game' helps you in any way.
  3. The TV is the best way to learn the rules of no limit Texas Hold'em no doubt. But as to how to play it well, that is not so obvious.People all too quickly forget that on TV you usually only see a very small number of players playing the last number of hands, and with the biggest blinds. You can't play in a nine player table at 10-20 blinds the same way you play in a six player table at 10,000 - 20,000 blinds and people don't seem to ever think about that.I think you can still learn from watching Poker on TV, just make sure you consider the conditions. A moderate hand that is played in a 3
  4. It all boils down to...is a chest ad worth $10,000? Cause I don't think it is, just for one single chest advert. It just begs the question...what IS worth a $10,000 stake? Hmmm....
  5. I'm a Jays fan partially out of hometown loyalty, and part because of growing up during the glory days.I think the Jays are being vastly underrated this year. Every magazine has predicted a last place or 4th place finish. I know it's still early, and I'm hesitant still to say it...but they have a chance.Red Sox and Yankees have both struggled a bit. It's hard to tell much this early since six of the first nine games those two teams play are against each other, but I'm seeing pitching problems from both teams. Especially with David Wells. (Grumbles about his random fantasy draft pick) I m
  6. If you're always scared your A A will get cracked, then you just haven't been playing them right. This may only be my second post, but this I do know.See it all the time on play money tables, people get pocket aces, but because they are so concerned with not giving away that they have a strong hand, they limp in, only call the big blind. Then when one of the eight people who also called hit two random pairs on the flop, they whine that their aces never win, after losing to something like J 2 . Well if you make it easy for them to call you...
  7. I'm not too pissed since it was all for charity. No cash prizes, just prizes in the form of chipsets and the like. But here it is...about 90 players run by a club at the University. Seems even with a guy who runs tournaments professionally, they didn't plan ahead well enough with the chips, as when I peeked in the room there only seemed to be about ten physical chips at each position waiting for us.We sit down, and yeah, there aren't that many chips to start. They try to make it sound fancy by saying the whites are worth 1,000 chips, but since the opening blinds are 1,000/2,000, really white
