  1. Had a good weekend, 1st in the $3r $6K and a 5th in the Saturday $5r $6K turbo and a 6th in the same game but on Sundays it's $17.5K gtd and had over 900 runners (Merge is def growing). Total profit for the weekend was about $2300. :-) Congrats to everyone else on their weekend successes.
  2. Well damn I might of played on there if I'd know they were running an MTT series. I got emails from Bodog but I don't think I'm getting them from Bovada. Doesn't sound like they did a great job in promoting this. Oh well though really nice job.
  3. B What's that is Bovada having a tournament series? ...and how'd you come out?
  4. Thanks all! I managed to win one tonight, the $11 2r 1a, $8.5K for $1870. Have no idea how I won the thing, I made a couple of God awful plays and at around 27 players got knocked down to 1 small blind and shoved like a crazy fool to chip back up, miracles do happen and fish do get lucky :-)
  5. Finished 3rd in Merge Poker Maximus Event 23 $33 $60K gtd....
  6. Didn't Bodog get indicted back in like 06 or 07 and it never stopped them, I doubt this silly crap will either.Maryland also indicted Yatahay a few month after BF and they're still going to. http://pokerfuse.com/news/law-and-regulati...s-and-seizures/
  7. Won a prop bet to play 10K hands between 2/19 and today and finish in the black. Not the best 10K hands I ever played but not terrible either. 3.2BB/100 and $32 profit so I can't really complain. The first 6K hands were all in the red so the best thing I did was control my tilt and kept playing a decent game to recover. I switched from MTTs to cash on Jan. 11 and I'm just short of 30K hands over this period at 7BB/100 and $204 profit. Still a small sample but hopefully it's enough to mean I don't totally suck at cash. So far by stake all 6 max: 4NL = 13,814 hands, 4.2BB/100, $23.28 profit10NL
  8. Jon FWIW I don't hate check folding either but I just like betting more, of course I do have aggressive tendencies sometimes. :-)
  9. Okay I totally get the not 3 betting pre here since villain is a tight reg and we are way ahead of his button range but I'm still not sure I get the merit of the flop check raise, would love more thoughts on this. I think I get it but just trying to wrap my brain around it.
  10. Jon on your sturtegy hand:1st off why not 3 bet pre? I really don't want to play AQs OOP without 3 betting it against most players. By 3 betting pre when we are OOP we can control the pot post if he just flats us and we can figure he doesn't have a hand like AA or KK or sometimes even AK and QQ or he would of 4 bet us. I just prefer to eliminate as much guessing post as I can when I'm OOP. Not really sure I get the x/r on the flop, the flop is really dry and we very well may have the best hand so by x/r we are essentially turning our hand into a bluff. What is your plan if you get re-raised? I
  11. His stats are 20/17/6.7% 3bet and he folds to 4 bets only 38%
  12. Good question, If I'm him and since he has very little history with me that he knew of and I have the ladies game win accolade showing, so a female random probably fish would be how I'd be thinking if I were him so based on that I'd think I could be up against 55+ AK, AQ plus other ace rags hands since women have trouble folding ace rags and pps,, mb high SCs since I'm IP so I can definitely have 2 clubs here and mb QQ but that's iffy, He did see me double barrel with air in another hand on another table so don't know if that made any difference to how he was thinking but as far as he knew we
  13. I went over this hand with a couple of friends and we discussed just 4 betting him reasonably wide in these spots, I def think it's profitable over the long run. As played though I did call because a fold just felt wrong based on him making this weird play. He showed up with AJhh and I didn't suck out.
  14. This is goofy spot. I was getting 1.6:1 so I needed about 40% equity to call and at best only had about 36% but his shove just didn't make sense.Villain is MDoranD the CardRunners' micros pro. He 3 bets about 7.5% in the blinds, is capable of bluffing some here but not much with this goofy play. I'm actually as interested in what you think of his play as much as what I should do...Merge - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 playersHand converted by PokerTracker 4BB: $10.61Hero (UTG): $9.80BTN: $9.35SB: $10.52SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has T:club: T:diamond: Hero
  15. Nope lol he had one of the two hands that beat me, JJ for a set and I didn't suck out, but I'd play it the same way again so that's poker. I just wanted to make sure I played optimally and wasn't missing anything. Thanks!
  16. I three bet a reasonable amount I'm 23/18 with 7% 3 bet and 2.5 AF and having over 140 hands with villain I'm sure he's seen enough 3 betting from me not to fold most decent hands. Post flop I felt he had 2 hands that beat me QT, which isn't very likely, and JJ, since he didn't 4 bet pre I didn't think he had KK or AA although I can't completely rule it out, but he had many more hands that I beat such as AQ, AJ and even KJ as well as flush draws so I felt getting it all in on the flop was best.Someone I know argued me down that the 3 bet pre wasn't optimal and I disagree so that's why I wante
  17. Cash grind is going pretty well, started with $11.50 on Carbon on Jan. 10 one month later have $188, mostly from cash games but about but $53 of it came from a couple of MTT deep runs in the $11 $750 gtd super turbo luckboxament (I was staked for 2 of them so that's why the profit is so low). I've moved up to 10NL with a strict stop loss since I'm not too well rolled for it yet. Thoughts on this hand please: I have 143 hands on villain at 41/34/3bet 10% so since he's so loose and I was MP with so many left to act I felt a 3 bet was best here. As for post I don't see getting away from top two b
  18. If any of you are interested Jason Somerville is doing some cash game videos and putting them on YouTube. He realized he had $400 on Cake and he's trying to run it up and doing these videos. I love how Jason breaks down a hand and his thought process. Check it out if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/user/JCarverPoker#p/uGreat advice ITT.
  19. KJ, Your HH says .10/.20 where are you playing .10/.20? Just curious...Also thanks for the advice, 4NL is super fishy with nice donks who love to bluff badly so great fun so far. Biggest adjustment I've had to make is kind of like what Cobalt was saying, they donk and just don't fold or the check and don't fold. I've had to cut back my c-betting the flop quite a bit and/or also fire a 2nd barrel on the turn if I see them float flop and fold turn a lot.
  20. Hi guys, I'm not really posting in general forum much anymore except for legislation stuff but you guys are great and you know your stuff when it comes to cash games. After a prolonged stretch of MTT runbad, or play bad - probably some of both, my bankroll suffered greatly so I decided to take the $11 I had on Carbon (had been playing MTTs on Hero) and work on grinding it up starting at 4NL. I'm 7 days in and up to $75 over about 7000 hands so pretty decent results for 4NL, I guess. Anyway if it's okay with you all I'd love to post interesting or difficult hands for your expert advice. I don't
  21. Two encouraging articles posted today on Pocket 5s:http://www.pocketfives.com/articles/harry-...ulation-587098/http://www.pocketfives.com/articles/nelson...opinion-587099/Might be a good time to work on the action plan: Or through here if you don't want to go through 2p2, there are links at the bottom to other places that list the daily action plan.
  22. No Max despite what everyone seems to think I'm not some desperate pathetic attention seeker and I certainly don't thrive on internet forums. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure I've posted more in this thread than I have in any other for months and most of those other postings were about legislation. That said, it's been made perfectly clear that on this forum I am extremely disliked and completely unwanted and it seems pretty unanimous. I mistakenly thought it was just a few people on this forum who felt this way about me so I didn't think it was necessary to let a few jerks run me off from
  23. Oh **** it, not worth it! Bob please delete all my posts in this thread!I'm sorry I ever said a damn thing in this thread or any other! This is ridiculous, immature and just plain silly! What's worse is it's just allowed on here!
