  1. Don't limp into pots at that stage. Raise or fold.
  2. Since we are playing this hand blind (without knowing our hole cards), its an easy fold pre-flop in that position...lol
  3. Raise more pre-flop (min-raises suck). Calling is automatic to THAT opponents push.
  4. Jacks are one of the toughest hands to play, and this is a good example of why.Pre-flop is good up until the min-raise by SB. I like your raise to the limper, but once min-raised, alarm bells go off. Even if you get a flop with all undercards here, you have to proceed with extreme caution. You have your opponent covered, so if he is playing AK or something like that in this fashion (the min-raise), we should be able to find out fairly easily. You could re-raise pre-flop here, but I don't mind just calling at all.We got a great flop for our hand, unless our opponent has an overpair. We mis
  5. UTG raises usually (but not always) signify hands that are much stronger than KJ offsuit. You MAY end up with position in the hand (one other still to act after you), so it isn't a terrible call. Villian has you covered, which means you will need to play differently than against a stack of 1500 chips. I personally would have let it go, but I am sure others will call here, thinking that their position may allow them to take this hand away from their opponent.Villain put out a very weak continuation bet to that flop. Had I played this hand, I would have check-raised here just like you did, p
  6. If that is the case, then bully for him. Way too ways for us to be beaten here even if we hit our draw(s). I'd gladly fold and move on.
  7. I agree 100% that there are times to defend against a possible bluff. Pretty sure I wouldn't be here, with a possible flopped straight on the board. Also pretty sure I wouldn't with a pair of queens and a mediocre kicker.

  9. Your right, I forgot about the ace there (was focusing in on the fives). Bad example with the ace there, but change the ace to ANY other card in the deck, and I don't think its an auto-fold...
  10. What kind of hands would push on the turn there after we check? To me, weak hands only, not hands that beat us.
  11. I forgot to put the sw there on your trips, but the comments still stands. You didn't raise pre-flop on the strength of your 5, it was your other holdings. I'm not convinced you should fold if bet into with that example you just gave. Depends on the opponents I guess, but there will be people leading into the pre-flop raiser with far lesser holdings on flops like that, either as a bluff if they have nothing (hoping you fold), or having a monster (hoping you caught a piece or are stubborn with your short stack and feel pot committed).
  12. Glad to hear you KNEW what you were going to do when you put that turn bet in there. Not everyone does, even against a lone opponent. Some people may consider TPTK as a semi-bluff, even against boards like this one (although there is a possible straight there for the nutjobs calling from button with 7 4).I say I wouldn't bet on the turn, as I believe my opponent must have something to call pre-flop AND call on the flop. Even if that something is merely a draw, they are drawing thin against my hand. I am either WA or WB here IMO. Check/calling MAY allow me to gain more chips from an opponent
  13. Look at the crap hand our hero called (well, pushed) with after his flop bet. THAT is exactly why I think the lead out bet with the (near) nuts is fantastic there, as there will be a ton of hands that raised pre-flop that will call the bet. Our opponent can see that we are well below average with our stack after the pre-flop raise, so he (rightly) figures we are probably pot committed regardless of our holdings here.
  14. See, you inevitable slide to oblivion has begun. By the end of the day you will be at 112%. Quit noW!!!!
  15. Have you ever seen a post with Actuary and myself in it? Take everything either of us says to each other with a grain of salt.As for your stats, you have either made a mistake in your calculations, or are on fire. Quit while your ahead! Lol.
  16. Rocketwad0 (Rocketwad on pokerroom).46 LHE SNG's - 79.84%58 NLHE SNG's - 45.77%None of the other sites I play (or have played on) come close to these results. I left there due to the inevitable losses that must occur to offset these fantasic results, but I went back, and haven't recently and haven't regretted it yet.
  17. Easy push. You have the ace of diamonds to go with your top pair top kicker, so you know where the nut-flush will be. If he made a set of 3's and it holds, goody for him.
  18. I'm a poosey, so I fold. Your flush outs might not even be good there. Easy fold for me.
  19. I don't like how you played the hand, at any juncture.
  20. His flop bet makes perfect sense to me. I like it, I do it, it works wonders.
  21. Its a push or fold situation pre-flop. Depending on the amount of pre-flop raises from my opponent, it's a standard play with those blinds.
  22. The title must be referring to a lot of the other posters, as my ROI on FCP blows yours on ANY site out of the water...However, I like the hand, on all streets. I myself wouldn't have played it so passively (we play against different types of opponents in general IMO), but I agree with just the call on the river raise.
  23. What were you planning on doing when you made the turn bet if he went over the top of you? You should know BEFORE you make that bet IMO. He called pre-flop, he called on the flop. What makes you think he isn't going to at least call on the turn there? I think that if you fold here, you shouldn't have bet the turn in the first place. Was it a value bet you made on the turn, or a semi-bluff, in your mind? If its a value bet, you need to call the all-in. If it's a semi-bluff, I think you can fold.I wouldn't have bet out on the turn, but may have check-raised or check-called.
  24. Standard? Really? BB is 40, he raised to 100. 2.5X BB is not standard IMO. Too small for my liking with less-than-great position with a trouble hand.
