  1. i ve been receiving emails from you with tips and strategies on ppoker and it all seems like obvious but good advice, hes trying to get me to buy a e book on poker he says it guarantees winningand blah blah blah, has anyone ever heard of him?
  2. why is it that every post in this forum turns into a mockery session, i seriously have not seen one ful topic without at least one "poker pro" mocking another, moderators need to look at this cuz its getting outof hand, people are startingto lose interest in thisforum.
  3. That's a good one.I'm not sure what I'm more shocked about. That the concept of HAVING to use 2 hole cards and 3 community cards is so difficult OR the fact that people threw $100 into a game they totally don't understand....now how much is a three-point shot worth in basketball again?well, as far as 100 is concerned, with 6 7 players at the table this isnt a very hard goal to reach - not necessarily in this specific house but in otown, you cant find a game where the minimum buy in isn't at least 300 dollars. you seem to be talking down to the fact that a couple of players dont play omaha o
  4. Because of this post u jack!!i posted this because as i said im my message, i dont play omaha often and i needed to clear this up, everyone before you whom im sure are at least 15 years of age posted a serious reply and tried to help. you had to give your LMAO comment to stir sh*t up! - in any case - your post and your reply clearly demonstrates the type of person you are so no need to go any further. Hope DN or jayson take a peek at this thread to see what kind of members he has on his forum. Surely they will see that any new person to the game of poker would be intimidated to post here.
  5. fot the ones who wrote serious replies, thanks for clarifying, for the ones looking to poke fun, like suited up and others, why even bother posting? not everyone is a "pro poker player" like you. some people are actually just trying to learn the game of omaha. Anyway.. thanks for the explanation on the rules. i will pass it on!Fabiano
  6. in playing omaha at a friends house, 2 players got in a fight over a 100 pot. the argument was oevr who had the nuts on the following handplayer one holds 3 8player 2 has 3 7board was a 4 5 6 7i dont play omaha often so i didnt help the situation any but player one thought he had the nuts. a 7 card straight. 3 thru 8 and player 2 said he had to use 2 cards in his hand and 3 on the board.can u guys help with that?is there such thing as a 7 card str8 in omaha
  7. hey guys, thanks for the responses.i will try limping in on early position and see if that pays me off. Once i see their respecting my limp ins ill start playing regular cards again.daniel probably doesnt even have time to read all these but if you happen to glance over this one, can you please post your thoughts?thanksFabiano
  8. i play on this live game here in o-town (2/5 nlhm) and ive been having the hardest time this past month, we've got a crew full of "gamblers, raising preflop 50 and showing 10 6 of hearts. there's a preflop raise (substantial i might add) on every single hand. i ve tried playing extra tight and i break even. not worth the 4/5 hours spent.so, all you poker virtuosos out there, help me out!id really apreciate advice on how to play them. its tough not having poker playing friends cuz you never get a new idea for a good strategy or anything like that.thank youFabiano
  9. final table of an online tourney, first place takes 3900,00, not bad for a 20 buy in.but anyway, im bb and 4 people limp in. im dealt 3 5 diamonds and the flop comes a 2 4 rainbow, dream flop right? so, small blind bets 4k i call and the guy next to me bets 24k, im smiling thinking after winning this one and knocking him out, no one is gonna catch me anymore and im guaranteed top prize, my lead was substantial.surprisingly, the sb calls and i go all in.. it went call call.they would be both out of the tourney. at this point im happy, but pissed that they called you know what i mean? the raiser
  10. i often play a live game 2/5 no limit he - and once in a while, by the time i get to the game, some of these players already have over 1k in chips. the average buy in is 200 in this game and thats what i usually buy in for, however, when the game is loose, i tend to buy in for more.this weekend i bought in for 200 even though 2 players had over 1k , something i never do but i was fiending...1st hand i catch cowboys and i figured im going to get paid, who wouldn't right? i raise 40 and sure enough the 2 guys with 1k call, the flop is rag, rag, rag, 2 diamonds. i go all in , one folds and the ot
  11. i too play sngs often, i mix it up constantly however, so that i don't get in a bad habbit, for instance, will play a sng and after that buy in at a 1/2nlhe. it works to clear your mind of the rush of winning a sng.Another thing i found specially on pokerstars is that the low buy in of 5 and 6 dollar sngs are very very loose with players calling you down just to see what you got, so it has been about a month since i started playing the 25 turbo sngs and have multiplied my earnings. i suggest you build a larger bankroll, say to 300 and start joining these higher buy ins.its important that your
  12. thank you all for the responses - but to see if i can get a little more insight here's some particulars about this game.i tend to play tight when the game is very loose, this particular game happens to be very loose so i guess i do have a table image as being a tight player. i use this image frequently to steal quite a few pots. i didn't have the k os spades or i would of been in even more trouble calling his all in for the pot odds.I wasn't short stacked, matter of fact i believe i had over a thousand in chips at the time.the player has a reputation for being a good solid player but loves to
  13. game is 2/5 nlhe - i have kings and I am on the button, 4 players limp in for 5 and i make it 45 to go, everyone folds but one player.the flop is 28j all spades - the player checks and i bet 100 trying to just kill it there (should i have done this with such a terrible flop?).well, the player just calls, at this point i put him on at least an A of spades.the flop is 3 of hearts and he checks again (i can smell the trap at this point) yet i bet 150. he re raises to all in, about 500, so i fold. my question is: when the flop is dangerous, as you can see, what should i do? should i just check wit
