  1. I used to have a sweet ROI at micro sngs, but haven't played for a couple months having giving cash games a crack. I'm thinking of reverting though, sngs are less stressful lol.The obvious answer to your question is, unfortunately, that it depends almost entirely on the situation and the player. Against better players (at micro level, a better player is more often than not a solid player with a couple moves) then pre flop play is important, especially when the blinds get big and near to the money. Even if you fail to pick the pot up pre flop then you can take it down 2/3 of the time on the flo
  2. I've lost with KK all-in pre flop in cash games 8 out of 9 times in the last week. The one time I won was when I was severely short stacked.Hands I lost against: AA, QQ (x2), QJos, A8, AJ, AK and 44.Quite annoying that it happened just as I moved upto 0.10/0.25 stakes after grinding my way up from my $50 deposit three weeks ago. $50 -> $500 -> $305, it hurts.

  4. The all-in bet probably looks weaker than a value bet.
  5. I've found that I have a bad habit of crashing out in tourneys just before the big prize money. In low stakes tourneys of size 200-2000 I am quite capable of reaching the money a fair amount of times, however I'm not able to reach the final table. I don't seem to be able to think things through as clearly later in the tourney...I'm not sure if this is because I'm tired or just a lack of experience/confidence in the later stages of a tourney.First problem I can think of is because I tighten up too much near the money...and I don't just mean a couple places before money, more like a good hour or
  6. I see that people think it's unlikely and in truth I agree. I know it's a long shot, but we can all have that dream right? Something to aspire to? I have no intention of giving up my schooling/part-time job for poker just yet lol.I wasn't soo much talking about going out and earning a living straight away, I was more talking about building my bankroll up by playing the micro stakes and then move up stakes as my bankroll moves up. IF it works I don't intend to stop at 0.05/0.10, obviously. However I would still bet that a good enough player could make a nice income from the mico limit games. I
  7. I was talking to a friend of mine last week about the feasibility of earning a living by playing online poker. He was adament that you'd have to play at a pretty high level, $5-$10 minimum (NLHE). When I said I thought it was possible playing $0.05-$0.10 he thought I was crazy. He told some more of our friends, who also thought I was crazy, and they all had a good laugh. Here is my reasoning: The games at those limits are beatable. If I play 4 tables at once I believe that, on average, every hour I could double my money from a standard 100xBB buy-in at each table. So at $0.05-$0.10 I believe I
