  1. a cookie sounds delicious. make it a double stuffed oreo.
  2. I, one of many, quit party a while ago because of the "bad beats" and the fact that they had it in for me (s/w). well since then i learned to play proper poker at the .25 - .50 limit tables on paradise and decided to take my 300bb's to the .50 - 1.00 tables at party. now armed with my trusty tinfoil hat, party has no choice but to make me a winner.Check the evidence of one of my first hands played.***** Hand History for Game 1955646703 *****0.5/1 TexasHTGameTable (Limit) - Tue Apr 26 12:16:10 EDT 2005Table Table 30992 (Real Money) -- Seat 6 is the buttonTotal number of players : 10Seat 1:
  3. take some time off altogether. one of the first things i learned in poker is that not to play when your head is somewhere else. (especially the $200 sng's) switching sites won't change anything except who's getting your rake.
  4. if so, do you have to request your hand histories every hundred hands and then cut and paste them from your email into PT?
  5. i usually just log out. i've pissed away two $100 deposits going on tilt so i've come to learn to manage it more effectively. now i can usually just laugh it off. but no one is immune to it so if i starting going from tears of laughter to tears of anger then i get up and go play a little xbox. come back when i have cooled off.
  6. yeah thats pretty frustrating. i've seen a similar situation occur playing in a limit cash game a while ago where the board was the nut straight (ace high) with no possible flush and i get 2 idiots in the hand raising each other with me in the middle. im sure paradis poker was smiling watching us build a nice rake over a split pot! thats the only time i called someone a moron at the table.
  7. there is so much to say but the words just won't come out of my mouth!
  8. i agree 100%. people jump all over the plays other players make in NL tourny's when all they have seen is that hand. in NL there is never a cut and dry way to play and a lot of plays (like bluffs and raising scary boards) are made because of info the player has picked up during the course of his time at the table.
  9. are u serious or is this something i can avoid by buying a tinfoil hat for the low low price of 99.99?
  10. well thanks for your opinion. don't know why your putting such a negative spin on something so trivial. i guess it makes you feel better about your own chances of ever doing it. or maybe it has something to do with one of your recent posts"started playing some .1/.25 NL hold'em and NL hold'em sng's which lost most of my $100 deposit, leaving me with a meager $38 in my account"
  11. 6 steps. if you win the 6th step you win an entry to the wsop plus some cash i think.check this link out for the full detailshttp://www.partypoker.com/news/events/wsop-steps.htmlits a pretty cool structure.
  12. Played Step 2 today. I feel I played pretty well. This table was full of action with a ton of bluffs and plays being made in a lot of the hands. On a side note, i was the chip leader when it got down to 2 players but beings the top 2 advanced anyways we just went all-in on every hand to get it over with.Summary----------Played on : 20 April 2005 05:23 PMOn Table : WSOP Step 2 #1009627Game Type : Texas HoldemBuy-In : $50Fee : $5You finished in position 21st place - flimsin - Entry to WSOP Step 32nd place - amarillotg - Entry to WSOP Step 33rd place - JimR56 - En
  13. thanks, he wasn't a very good player and kept pushing in no matter what he had so although he had a large chip lead i knew that the probabilities of doubling up were pretty good.
  14. yeah, im stressed already. i think it will be more comfortable if i can get to level 3. from then on top 3 freerolls to the next step.
  15. Yup, another experiement. This one is a little different from most others though. A couple days ago i jumped all over the $10 bonus from party for filling out a 15 sec survey. With only $10 to my name on party i've decided to take a stab at the 6 Step WSOP challenge. First off, i was $2 short of the entry to step 1 so i had to play a $5.50 sng in order accumulate the funds. After taking 2nd in that i was on my way.Goal: to win a seat to the WSOP all on PP's dime. I will post my progress from any tourny win or lose. For more info on the step challenge see the below link.http://www.partyp
  16. hmmmmm, apparently the traffic on poker mountain is so bad that no one even knows about the free rolls.
  17. @ a .05-.10 table i would most definitely call 2 cold with AQo. i'd probably even 3 bet.
  18. i see the poker mountain advert flashing on the home page stating $2,500 free rolls. anyone play in any of these? i went to the site and there is nothing under free rolls so im wondering if this was a one time thing. if this is a regular thing i think it is well worth time to play becuase of the poor traffic the site is currently experiencing. Example - suited_up only had to go through 132 people to win the trip to the bellagio! thats a free roll worth over $25,000 and it only drew 132 people!p.s. not taking anything away from suited_up, its an awesome accomplishment and i hope he takes
  19. congrats man. i have been recently plugging away at my nl tourny play. hopefully i will see in the winners circle soon.
  20. i used to play weekly at brantford and if your going on a weekend make sure you are there early. i mean @ 8:00 am you can usually walk in but by 9:00am your starting to look at a decent wait. if you don't show up till noon or so, don't expect to play until dinner time. keep in mind these are just generalities but its also a good rule of the thumb.BTW... last time i was at brantford (month and a half a go) the dealers were saying the is a big expansion coming up. could help the waits.
  21. thanks for the replies. i think i might try one. sounds like you have to take a real tight aggresive style the during the rebuy period because of the fearless all-ins that must go on. also seems that the ROI must be huge if you only take an add-on.
  22. never played in one and have a question.if you are all-in and go bust, do you get to rebuy during the rebuy period or do you still have to have chips in front of you in order to rebuy?
  23. first off thanks for the replies guys. my strategy in mtt's has always been never to put my whole stack at risk if i don't have to. this discussion kind of reinforces my belief in that strategy.
