  1. Maybe you should stick to being an apologetic for evolution, materialism, nihlism, ect, things you have actually studied and placed your full belief in. You obviously havent' studied Christianity to any degree or you wouldn't constantly misrepresent it in your posts. Why do you have to misrepresent Christianity, it is all crap anyway according to you. We understand, you don't believe and we are all morons for believing, got it!! If you believe there is nothing to it, then why bother to misrepresent it over and over. You don't have a clue what Christians believe, they don't believe in t
  2. Why and for what? What good is it doing to pass on life if it has no meaning or purpose?
  3. Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe you can get me through the ninth. Ooh, Dream Weaver I believe we can make the morning light.
  4. Ok, you agree with Hawking? Life, existence have no meaning or purpose.
  5. No, not trying to prove anything, just curious about " purpose" This isn't the first post I have seen you deny existance ( or at least minmize its importance) of "purpose". Are you saying natural selection has no purpose? Evolution has no purpose?
  6. Weaver has struck out the first two batters. He is on pace to strike out 27 for the game..
  7. what make events "natural", what is your definition. 'Natural' must also be a concept created by humans. If there is no purpose in anything, then what is you definition of Random events? Wouldn't all events be Random? If all events are Random, then how are we able to predict things?
  8. Yep, looks like your right on his stats, but at the end of the year LaRussa was trying to protect him because the Cardinal fans were Booing alot because the Cardinals were playing piss poor the whole second half of the season and were trying to colapse. The pitching had completely fallen apart, Mulder was out hurt, Marquis was terrible, Reyes was inconsistant, Sup was Sup, Izzy was blowing saves, the bullpen pitchers came in games ( usually in the 3rd or 4th inning) and promptly pumped gallons of gasoline onto the fire. Weaver still sucked back then, so he pitched alot on the road too.I a
  9. Why was there a natural disaster in the first place? Why did people die? Why did other people survive?
  10. Latest forcast says the rain will stop shortly before game time, but it is going to be cold, low of 40, and wind 15 to 20 mph winds with gusts up to 35. Could make things interesting.Duncan starting in right field tonight. Duncan + 35 mph wind =
  11. I am sure these same survivor parents would be comforted to know that they died for the good of the species, and that nature needed to wipe them out to controll the population to insure enough food for the continuation of the species.
  12. Actually, I think Reyes has been more effective on the road this year, and he looked great in that atmosphere during game 1.
  13. You may be right about Weaver and the 6th inning, but Larussa would be happy to be tied 2-2 or 3-3 going into the 6th. I would imagine Tony will be ready and may even prefer that the bullpen pitch the last 4 innings. The main point, he just wants Weaver to keep the Cardinals in the game like Suppan did last night. The Cardinals hit power pitchers well, and have for years, if the Cardinals can hold Tigers to 3 or 4 runs I like the Cards chances tonight.PS-- If Pujols is up tonight with runners on base, he won't ground the ball back to the pitcher. Tigers better be very very cautious with h
  14. Good point, but a parent wants their children protected and safe. It would be nice if they did this in the most loving way possible, but protecting children out of fear or through fear is loving also. In the end they want their children safe. If they accomplish that through love, fear... either way they have accomplished their goal. Likewise with God. I thought Rush was using Oxycontin, isn't that the one that makes you deaf? Now you are sounding really silly. Children, especially shouldn't be allowed to make thier own bad choices. Their are many choices they could make which could
  15. God doesn't want you to fear him or his judgement, but would rather you fear him than to reject him. If you fear him enough to bear fruits of Christian wisdom, belief, then so be it, in the end you would end up home with the father which is what God wants( to spend eternity with his children).
  16. I have cut way back on my poker and actually enjoy playing once or twice a week. Anyway, hope you can visit off topic from time to time. I always look forward to your input. Take Care and God Bless
  17. Who will the Arizona coach throw under the bus this week. Its sad to see a grown man so desperate to keep his job that he continues to absolutely refuse to take any responsibility. This guy is exactly the opposite of what a leader is supposed to be. I used to love this guy, what happened to him?
  18. Maybe, but this is the Christian short bus.http://home.austin.rr.com/bmw540i/retard%20bus.jpg
  19. Wow, I am surprised we have so many children growing up in single parent homes, or without either of their biological parents. After all, the whole of society revolves around your sexual practices. yes, and thousands of people were given HIV thru blood transfusions because of the gay lobby blocking testing of the blood supply. There has already been alot of criticism/ controversy about who gets body organs and for what reasons(ie Micky Mantle as probably the most notable example) I have seen alot of people talking( mostly on tv documentaries, about Intelligent design, and they have Phds
  20. huh? me too. Please eloborate, were you forced to join? For real, where? I'd be interested to hear the rest of that story.
  21. Not on the same scale as Christians throughout most of history.
  22. Ok, follow you so far. I am against abortion but it has nothing to do with my religious beliefs. ( Not denying that God is against it) your back on your point here, these are strictly Catholic beliefs though. This would be good thing for society, alot less children would be without two parent homes. I think this is a dangerous road to travel down, this could turn into something Orwellian rather quickly. I don't care if it's taught or not, but I believe there is a scientific component to it from what I've seen. yes, society was done a favor by legalizing alchohol, see every statistic
  23. Ok, I believe you have said that it is impossible to prove the existance of God. You say that there is no objective evidence to support belief in Christianity. Ok, lets say you are right, there is no objective evidence. What could be another reason people believe so strongly besides "small scraps of non-evidence."
  24. My point was that despite the large number of people that call themselves Christians, there are alot fewer that are actually mature Christians, and you won't find them in places you might think, like chuch leadership, ect. Most of the secularists I know would not would not get close to living up to the standards I described, although they are definately out there. If you are talking about nonchristians, meaning not secularists but other religous peoples, Hindu, Buhhdist, ect. Unfortunately, I would have to agree that most so called Christians don't measure up.
