  1. I'm not too sure if the BB has us beat, but hopefully he only has AK. I think the calling station is on some sort of draw, probably flush. I would push here and hope that BB doesn't show up with AQ, AA, or QQ. Maybe you might get a call from MP2 who is on a draw. Either way, I think you have the best hand and need to push to protect it.
  2. This is true too. You need to bet more on the turn, along the lines of 10-12 to see more of where you are at. Make those draws pay more and also can see if the guy really has a hand. Given that he did not raise your small turn bet, I feel almost certain he is on a draw.
  3. To tell you the truth, I think I call this without much thought. This is the play I always make when I think someone is on a draw that missed. When the river comes, I know they will not call a v-bet, but there is a chance they might bluff at the pot. So why not check to them and let them bluff. I think this is a busted draw more times than not. If an ace is all he has then its a weird bet, unless its from a slowplayed ak. I don't see this being a boat ever, unless he hit the a7 boat. I think that this is a call and I expect to see a missed flush draw. We are getting very good odds to c
  4. Easiest push I've ever seen. If you know he has lower pair than you, you want to get the money in when you are way ahead. This is a perfect chance for you to double up knowing he will call.
  5. There is no way this guy has the flush. If he did have the flush, he would value bet to try to get a call from a lot of hands. Plus with you checking twice and showing so much weakness, I think this guy is trying to push you off and ace here or does have 3 aces and is afraid of another heart. This bet looks most to me like kk with the king of hearts. I am calling this almost always.jimhoff
  6. To tell you the truth, very very low, unless he is a total donk. If he has a really strong hand, don't you think he would raise the flop or turn with all the draws and knowing you have an a? I think he value bets the river less if he really has a hand.
  7. This looks like a busted flush draw to me as well. I like the check on the river because it induces a bluff. I don't think most people bet the pot on the riv if they have been check calling the whole way unless they missed their draw and it is the only way they can win the pot. I would call this. I don't see how he is ahead unless he hit 2 pair with a weak ace, 68 diamonds or 79 diamonds. If he had a real stong hand like set or 2 pair on flop, he is raising this on flop or turn, not check calling. Call the river bet and ship the pot
  8. You really think you need 50 buyins? I mean i was ok with 10 or so in ring but I know the swings are much worse at 6-max, but I was thinking along the lines of 20??
  9. I've been playing poker for 4 years or so now and have done somewhat well. I used to always play ring games but started finding them boring and moved to 6-max. I had a lot of success at the 1-2 6-max games. I have had problems bank roll managing at times so this has gotten me into trouble. Due to financial reasons, I have to move back down to micro limits and try to build a roll again. Since I have played 1-2 and 2-4, etc. I have trouble going back down to the micro limits. My main concern is that I think I play to many hands and have a hard time playing at these levels. I play a very l
  10. Ok, I understand...for whats its worth, I guess I made a donk play by trying to catch a good flop knowing what he had. I ended up flopping the flush and stacked him. He did end up having aa. Next time I will just see the flop for cheap in position.
  11. Ultimate Bet 1/2 NLHE (6-players)Villian has 200~Hero CoversHero is in the Button with 5 6 I don't have a hand history but I remember the basics of the hand. I don't have much of a read on the villian and I don't think he has too much of a read on me. If any, he thinks im somewhat LAG. Preflop: Folds to villian in MP1 who raises to 7, folds to hero who makes it $25, folds back to villian who makes it $57, hero?I was attempting the squeeze play, was it ok to do this even though I don't have a great read? I like to play aggressive so I do the squeeze play every once in a while. When he
  12. Understandable. I know it is very hard to get players to lay down overpairs. I myself still have a lot of trouble. I don't think that play would work much and that is a big reason why it would only be a rare occasion to attempt it. I felt like the board was dry enough and we were deep enough that it looked like I had a real big hand.
  13. I wasn't saying everyones points aren't valid, i just though his points in that particular post were not valid. I understand what you are saying, I guess I wasn't positive he didn't have a set, but I had a good feeling he didn't. Are you ever certain on your reads, hardly ever. I am trying to learn, thats why i posted. I guess overall the play is not profitable. I was trying out a new thing, The Yeti theorem I read about in another forum, and felt like this was a good spot to try it out. It probably is only supposed to be used at higher stakes and higher levels of competition. I don't w
  14. I don't know, maybe I reraise more than that, but anyway, there is no way I am pushing with aj or something like that, and he knows it. LAG doesn't mean stupid. Remember that, I am good enough to lay down top pair top kicker to his reraise, as in that case, the raise would be for info and his reraise would give me enough info to lay it down. I don't think your points are valid.
