Trust me, I did not in any way mean to group ALL americans under the "ignorant" flag. That's why I intentionally put down "some". Also, someone had openly called out "kill him". I can say for sure that something even close to that has never happened in Sweden. Frankly, I'm not overjoyed by your play although it isn't terrible.You are playing a big pot without knowing really where you stand. I would much more prefer calling on the flop and seeing if he fires again on the turn, trying to keep the pot small. The problem I see is that on the turn, as you say you should probably shove, but with a semi weak hand. That's an interesting point. Comparing Sweden and the US we give about an equal amount of our GDP (government plus private), I'll admit that I think the US are "better" but only by 0.5% of GDP at most. So, how come, we, as in Sweden, can give about as much as you as a percentage of our GDP but waste significantly less while having higher standards of living and at the same time reduced our pollutions to less than our 1990 levels? On a per capita basis you might be right, I haven't seen any articles about it but I sure wouldn't be surprised if you are, indeed, the most giving people per capita. I know however that the US government spends a minuscule amount on foreign aid as a percentage of it's budget compared to other nations (see this and this).
