  1. Well those of you, who care enough to have read any of my previous post on the subject, know that my mom is playing in the $10,000 Bay 101 shooting star event. That is exciting enough, at least for me, but I guess fate has more in mind for my mom. Daniel will be sitting in seat 5 at the same table as my mom! And just to add a little more drama she is in seat 6!I know none of you have the same emotional connection that I do with my mom, but I would think a few of you would agree at the level of CRAZYNESS this is!!!
  2. NYSPOKER -Your read makes a lot of sense, a 888/xx* boat seems more probable than a 666/88 boat given the flop, BigMoe77's betting, and the paired eights on the turn.BigMoe77's betting pattern certainly indicates strength. He raised on every opportunity that presented itself to him (until the final bet, when he was the last to act).Smash/the candle's check after the river was the right move given the probability of the bigger boat being out there, even though he thinks he missed a bet or made a mistake.Q,6s - you got lucky, Smash.* Either an 888/77 (to complete 8,7-suited connectors in the ho
  3. The Lady Killer? more like the puppy killer, I heard Robert eats baby dogs.
  4. Once i was walking around Vegas when i was like 12 and Daniel came up to me and gave me five bucks and told me to be his fan. I used the 5 buck on arcade games.
  5. ok....dickEDDIE!!!! Come on, EDDIE!!!
  6. A few people. No one famous but a few pros. like i said one guy had already won 7 seats to the tourney, so he is obviously a good player.
  7. I really think joke threads are getting out of hand on this forum...
  8. o my mom is a big fan of poker, I have posted before that she is a big sit and go player on poker stars and is also a big student of the game, as am I. I taught her the game of hold em a year ago when I started taking it seriously. She was instantly hook and me her and my brother have been playing all the poker we can since. At the beginning of this weekend my brother and her went to Antonio Estandiari's poker camp at the Bay 101 casino (I would have gone but personal matters got in the way). One of the peeks of this camp was on the last day they would have a tourney and the top 3 players besi
  9. "Man did you hear about the newest Tilt? Man that gay dude was so cheating."(Just a system test)
  10. Ok i have played at poker stars for a while i want to switch up sites. I dont have anything against poker stars but i would like a change the scene alittle. So, i have checked out full tilt party poker and bodog, and full tilt looks to be the best, but im not sold on any of them so far, and i would like some help. Which site, and you can list ones i haven't chekced out, would you suggest for a starting deposit of around $100?
  11. Unless i misread it, i would take a page out of Brunson's book and go all in to steal.

    i cheated

Its the mod mentality of the infomation age, the second something hits print anyone that doesn't agree with it will make their opinion heard, and those not strong enough to have an opinion with nod their heads in agreement.

    i cheated

I believe, as a forum, we should wash our hands of this episode, no reason to put anyone up on a cross. They did something wrong, they know it, and have admitted it, now it is our time to accept it and let it go.
  14. For online play i like to read a book, it keeps the mind shape, and also it keep it seperated fromt he game. You are less likely to fall into a pattern it you have already forgoten what you did last hand.
  15. well that could either mean "Wow thats cool." or "Wow, what kind of loser would think up that."
  16. Ok so every sport (using the term very loosely) requires some deal of responsibility to keep up and maintain a competitive level of fitness. Poker is no different, except for the location of the muscles. To keep the mind shape and poker focused some plays have a routine of exercises they like to do every night or before playing. Does anyone have any special exercises they do to help themselves keep shape? How does it help you? What can you learn from it?I personally sit down for an hour or so (depending on the time I have) and deal out 9 hands. Then I look at each starting with the third (beca
  17. Well i wasn't saying i was having a worse run then you, just saying i know the feeling. Some time's good playing jsut doesn't cut it, everyone runs into it, some hit it harder then others.
  18. i know how it feels lost $100 at a 3/6 table flopping top pair top kicker and getting drawn out on. I knew if luck was just the littlest bit on my side i could break the table in an hour or two but saddly it wasn't to be.
  19. I was sitting at a 1/1/2 nl table and i was talking to this regular Tim, and he was telling me about this tourny he was in (He told me the name and the city but i forgot) and he told me for one of the tourny's entertainment nights Daniel did a 30 minute long stand up act which tim thought was one of the most hilarious things he has ever seen.Has anyone heard anything about Daniel having a talent for stand up comedy, because i was shocked that i hadn't heard about him having this skill?
  20. Sorry if i didn't make it clear, and re-reading my first post i really didn't make it clear. THe question i was posing a few people answered was raising vs. check raising, or check raising vs. any other play you could make here (i dont know what other plays you could make but if anyone wants to share a original tactic i would love to hear those as well.)
  21. I'll be there, even if i can't play (not quiet 21 :-p) im going to be there to watch with my family. Good Luck Daniel, I'll be rail birding right behind you.
  22. What are your opinions on this tactic? To check raise big draws like middle pair with nut flush draw, Open ended straight flush draw, Top pair with open ended straight draw, etc etc. I've tried it at some of my online .50/1 limit rooms, also at 1/1/2 no limit tables and 3/6 limit tables at my local card rooms. I think it works very good in the no limit table, and at the .50/1 room (where a re-raise it a rare thing for most any player). Anyway what do you guys think of it?
  23. I was sitting down at a No Limit 1-1-2 table in a card room I've never been in and at a table with people I've never played with, so I thought it a good time to gather some information on who's who at the table. With 7 people at the table it didn't take long to find out lot about the players, especially since they all seemed to know each other. Rick (the names have been change to protect the innocent) was sitting across from me in seat three (I was in seat 7) and had the rep of a regular, skills of one too, and eyes like a hawk, and they seemed to be on me a lot. After picking up a few pot an
